    The p220\RTR is the best touring bike. Period.
    It is cheaper to maintain, has more GC, is more torquier and can be ridden easily on the bad road without worrying about the side panels. And its hell lot cheaper!


    lol! WTF Guys! Relax, dont jump the gun... each bike is different! Why dont you compare a p150 vs a R15? Both are 150CCs... Get the point?

        Comparing it with The looks and quality of R15

        I checked the CBR 250 yesterday in pune showroom, apart from having a relaxed sitting position there is nothing like which i liked. Now here i am comparing it with the looks and quality of R15.
        The tank looks more of copied from the stunner design and the front end of tank has a odd piece of plastic mounted, i am not able to understand the purpose as i feel it will create hassle when we use magnetic tank bag. The headlights reminded me of old LML vespa Select II scooter where the Blade or CBR 600 has a beautiful head light. I also checked the frame and the finishing was not smooth or upto the mark like the R15 has got.

            Thanks for your appreciation on the review guys. I would like to second what OF has said, and I think it reflects in my review as well. Please don't compare x vs y and base an opinion/purchase decision on that.

            Ride it for yourself, if you think you will enjoy your time on the bike for the next 3,4 or 5 years, decide on it!

                Very well written article by the team! The photos were quite a let down actually when compared to the excellent work from other articles. Blame it on the high standards that have been set

                Somebody else had pointed it out already but seeing as how xbhp & its members promote safe riding & the AGATT mentality, it was surprising to see the lack of 'proper' riding gear in some of the pictures.

                  1. All the shoot etc was done in 45 minutes max flat on a weekday morning on one single street
                  2. the person owning the new CBR was on his way to office and has been inducted to xBhp (and reprimanded for not buying his gear before the bike.) Our man sunil was in gear though.

                    Thats good to hear, buying a CBR and wearing just an open face helmet is a gross injustice to all things that are xbhp!

                    I hope the team is able to provide us a more detailed photoshoot of the two 250s now that the CBR has started rolling out of the showroom. I would love to see what magic you guys can do with the 3 differently coloured CBRs.

                      I've tested CBR 250 a few days back. Unable to enjoy it fully due to my fractured thumb. However, here are the observations:

                      1- Throughout the ride equivalent torque distribution.
                      2- No vibration despite being a single cylinder (Though I didn't go beyond 60 - 70 Km/H).
                      3- It seems that initial pick up was quite similar to the R15 and it gains speed eventually.
                      4- ABS was surprisingly effective.

                      I would go for Ninja 250 if upgrade from R15 is given. I don't think that CBR 250 would be a logical one if switching from R15. It's just my personal observation and may sound biased (however, it's not intended to).

                      Furthermore, if Yamaha launches a 250, nothing will make me more happy than owning one..

                        Very nice pics and a nice review.
                        Booked a black non abs.
                        Also Honda CBR 250R is a 90-95% localized bike and hopefully part/spare prices will be comparatively cheaper than the Ninja.
                        I heard the Ninja's spares are really high. Owning and living with CBR we will more lighter on the wallet.
                        That said, Ninja performance and character is fantastic and will appeal to power junkies. CBR is more of a tourer/street genre.
                        That said, excellent options for the Indian buyer. Those who have the extra dough and know the value of the additional cylinder will go in for the Ninja, Others can wait for competition or buy the CBR.
