Well, most of the tanks listed on the KTM website, including the above one are for the KTM OFFROAD bikes, none for the KTM Duke twins. So we still have to wait..........

    • Is there a plan in place? The launch, the waiting period, the test drive etc? Or is it the case of we got too much to chew?

This is the first time in my entire life I have waited for some contraption to be launched and sold. I do hope they do have a test bike available. The reviews are great, the pics are bloody awesome. But, still my life and my dough might as well test ride it.

Growing old might make one finicky, absolutely dint like the attitude at the honda joint. CBR and a Dio, one go full cash payment, Same answer, we will call you. They don't seem to give a S. (Initially, Mercs were sold at the TATA truck outlets ( well, before the days of the Indica, and the Merc owners were sort of pissed off cause they got treated like some truck operator. Not really the fault of the truck dealer ( he never got any training to treat the bloke spending the same dough on a car) I don't want a wing no more! Its not their attitude ( stupidity) but, I wouldn't want to be running around them to get my ride serviced.

Hmmmm I could take that kinda treatment from the b group and may not bat an eyelid. NO MORE BONDA for me or my kid.

I can wait 15 days more. After that I really wouldn't care. I might have to end up with two bikes. so be it!

From what Ive read, its the only all rounder that is going to be in the market. And Ive tried so hard not to want it. If I have waited so long it just means that. All my purchases have been overnight decision. ( 12 hrs Max)...

AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGG! This is almost as painful as waiting for my bicycle to reach home when i was very young. Almost 3 long months.

If nothing happens on the 24th, I will never own it.

Yup, though there are enough powerparts included tanks for their street bikes as well. Hoping that would be fixed soon and KTM would launch an extensive range of parts for what could become their number one seller.

                • I can't wait for 24th Jan!. I keep checking every 30 min if there is some update..

Only worry right now is the Fuel Economy, 20Kmpl will be very less and it will be a deterrent.

                  • Are they going to have separate KTM showrooms? And what about the service centres?
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Bajaj Probiking concept will have KTM in their arsenal. Service will be done by authorised Probiking service centres, just like Ninja. 220 will be phased out slowly from PBK, I guess.

As far what I heard, the Duke would be sold in PBK for now and in short time BAJAJ-KTM would setup dedicated show rooms for KTM bikes and therefore wouldnt be sold in Probiking show rooms....

I dont beleive they wl axe P220... it will anyday sell much more than Duke for its VFM proposition... It wl be foolish for Bajaj to let go the VFM tag!! coz thats their USP...

                        Happy Riding :-)

                        • Hope PBK showrooms will have a bike for Test Drive rather than only for Demo.

Anyone knows if PBK showroom in Bangalore is open on 26th Jan?

                          • Apologies to be the bearer of bad news, but a PBK told me that they are just getting demo bikes tomorrow. They are expecting to get the test-ride bikes by mid-Feb.

I'd suggest calling the PBK and confirming tomorrow, before making the long trip to the store.
