the ProBiking guys @ Park Street are also inducing the customers to go for other bikes, (esp KTM duke) rather than 200NS. I guess they will be getting more commission on higher end bikes.

[I'd advise you to go to OSL Bajaj in Thakurpukur (depending on where you stay, it could be far away, but worth it). They'll take Rs.10k as the booking money...but as Shibadip said...Non-refundable...but it is transferable for sure.
      All the best.

hey myth, did u made the booking @ thakurpukur OSL??
and did you get quote of OSL @ prince anwar saah??

Yes for your info, the entire pulsar line up right from the baby pulsar 135LS as well as all the rest of the pulsar from there up to the flagship 220F now adorns the SPEED LINES TREATMENT. And it is part of this graphics treatment, all the crank cases of all the pulsar (even the baby p135 through its recent 2012 upgrade)get the golden and black color combo on the crank case and i had also heard that the p200ns was also going to adorn that dual tone speed lines treatment. So its obvious that the p150 & the new 200ns shares the same treatment. And about the upgrade... its not sure as bajaj has the option to upgrade all the rest of the current line up any time as it chooses. And although p150 is dated now, i still believe it has some more juice /fight left in it and it will still make a lot more sense at least as an all age suiting bike with still withholding the right mix and still staying true to a fuel efficient no nonsense most practical and stylish piece of sports commuter in the market at least for the time being and also mr. rajiv bajaj had indicated along ago that the pulsar line up will be made available both in air cooled and liquid cooled versions. Lets hope that they upgrade the pulsar twins by 2013 with 200ns's newly developed platform.

        • I have a query on pulsar engine. P200NS comes with a liquid cooled engine. So this liquid is water or oil?

Sorry if this question has already been addressed earlier.

Liquid cooled = cooled with coolant like in cars. Water cooled engines are outdated now, I guess.

It's not water. It''s sort of liquid. You can see it in bike's right side below tank.

It's not. Liquid cooled engine uses a mixture of water and anti-freeze / rust inhibitor chemical. The ratio of mixing differs from manufacturer to manufacturer. I regularly use them in my car.

@s_hari: liquid cooled is not oil cooled. It is water + chemical. Where as oil cooled is ... well ... oil cooled. The oil is circulated through a small radiator, and back to the engine. Similar to liquid cooling. Though liquid cooling is superior.

ok.... the coolant is a mixture of water & other ingredients but earlier engines used to be only water cooled, right?

yea earliler in the times of ambys and padminis it was water..
now we use 70%water and 30% glycol mixture as the coolant.
                            Cheers

                            • Spotted a Pulsar 200 NS today.. Near Magarpatta.. Blue color. Tried to catch but Traffic Light turned red.

Bike looked big.. and very stylish.

Well oil cooled is not similar to liquid cooling.. it's just that oil is circulated to pipes that are exposed to air and then back to engine. But in liquid cooling you have liquid cooling jacket surrounding engine through which liquid is circulated and then to the radiator to cool the liquid. That's why you don't have cooling fins like air cooled engine for liquid cooled engine You can notice by comparing P220 dts-i and P200NS pics.
