Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Review: xBhp's Ride Report
Collapse

Users on the duke ownership thread are claiming their mileage indicator readings to be around 40-50 kmpl under moderate and controlled riding. Thisis from a bike expected to deliver around 30 kmpl.
It could be the same case or better with pulsar. But who buys one of these 200s to ride it like a splendour.
Expect between 30-58 kmpl, depending on the riding style and environment.
But, until its released and tested by users, pulsar's mileage is a shrodinger's cat.

DUKE's fe is in the range of 40-50,so we can keep our hopes high in case of pulsar too.Originally posted by darkknight View Postconsider 35-40 for this 200cc mill
getting hopes a bit high on such kinda tuned bikes won't be too good for someone concerned with the FEand the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

there seriously some mistakes .. according to reports by magazines [not one but all] the duke mileage is around 25-28kmpl .. and many are confirmed on the ride reports .. even i think xBhp review indicates the same.Originally posted by 2strokerama View PostUsers on the duke ownership thread are claiming their mileage indicator readings to be around 40-50 kmpl under moderate and controlled riding. mileage never bothers me as long as the ride is fulfilling me in other ways like handling, power.now i don't see any reason why should we keep our hopes low, bajaj delivers what it promises.Originally posted by nagoo View Postkeep hopes low .. u see happiness .. otherwise u will greatly disappointingand the question remains why do i race?

Its high time people should stop thinking about the great mentality of "kitna deta/deti hai?"
You can't expect a 200cc+ bike to give you a 50kmpl+.
If you want mileage, then go for low end bikes. Because performance-the level which people expect-and mileage never go hand in hand!
so THINK BIG, THINK BETTER PERFORMANCE! \m/

actually dukes too-good-to-be-true fe figure has made us expect such figures from pulsar.Originally posted by myth2104 View PostIts high time people should stop thinking about the great mentality of "kitna deta/deti hai?"

I read some reviews on Duke and its expected mileage is 25-30kmpl (city). Pulsar 200NS would give much better mileage around 35-40kmpl (city) which considering its performance is mind blowing.Originally posted by sayank10 View PostDUKE's fe is in the range of 40-50,so we can keep our hopes high in case of pulsar too.
Bajaj is best when it comes to fuel economy. My 112cc Caliber used to give 56-57kmpl in city whereas my 125cc Stunner gives 41kmpl in city under same conditions. so 23.5bhp bike cannot give 50kmpl but 35-40kmpl in the city is too good. Highway mileage under low RPM and top gear would be around 50 i guess.Whats there in a signature?

As I saw somewhere, Pulsar200NS will return about 10-18 km more than what you get in Duke at same speed on normal driving.
So, as Ownership of Dukes are claiming 40-50 under normal riding, we can expect a 50 figure for P200NS when ridden under 60.sigpicUSED IN PAST: Ct100, Victor, Xcd 135For a true motorcyclist, the straight portions of the roads exist just to take him from one turn to the next!
