Now This booking amount seems to be normal.
Thats why there have been 75 bookings earlier(if the dealer is not faking it)
However, April 15th TD means the bike will be available by last week of April!!
That means SIX more weeks as the waiting period!!! UfffffffffffsigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

i dont know if they are tested before being shipped out, but i'm pretty sure if they do that they do not let it get counted on the odo.Originally posted by vishnukuttan1988 View Postthats wrong...all vehicles once they are out of the production line has to go through a certain number of quality and function tests ..to complete these tests all the vehicles will have a round inside the plant itself.
but that will be hardly 2 kms.
My friend got his 220 deliverd 3 weeks back with 0km's on the odo.
@inder, i think premium version is the dual tone one with soft compound tyres.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

@Shibadip: Thanks buddy...
Agree with you.. Painfully waiting for 2 months (roughly including the delays) for the bike and then another month or two of running-in... frustrating..
@inder.cool: the showroom guy said that premium is for a set better tyres (he said he's not sure of the other changes) and he quoted the bike price to be 1 - 1.10 lakhs.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every production bike have to go through some minimum no of test before being shipped out of the factory.
(Bikes might be Dyno-tested or on the factory plant tracks)
When they test the bike they generally dont plug the odometre.
Odometer is plugged in at the time of pre-delivery inspection from the dealer.Last edited by Shibadip; 03-05-2012, 01:18 PM.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

I asked him the same and he said it would be sub 1lakh... He also said that the pricing, colors and premium/non-premium details would be revealed when we are called for the TD...Originally posted by Shibadip View PostHow much did the dealer quote for the base version?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So is the dealer taking different booking for the premium amd base version??Originally posted by sandysend View PostI asked him the same and he said it would be sub 1lakh... He also said that the pricing, colors and premium/non-premium details would be revealed when we are called for the TD...
Or is it that after booking, customer can choose from the two variants after test drive??sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Naa, he wasn't taking anything different (price or booking slip) for the premium version. So we can choose from the two variants once we are done with TD..Originally posted by Shibadip View PostSo is the dealer taking different booking for the premium amd base version??

This actually got me thinking that the price (1.10 for premium) comes close to the Duke...

i thought Edgar Hienrich was only involved with the BAL team in designing the next gen pulsar. And if i am not wrong, it was DESIGN GURU GLEN KYRR along with ravi darad of bajaj in designing the first pulsar and from Glen kyrr had always been there in designing of the pulsar up till the p135 ls design.Yes glen kyrr also was responsible for hero moto corp's HUNK and it was not edgar heinrich who came into BAL team in 2008/ 09 if i am not wrong.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostHow about the tank??
coz i feel that the design of the tank is similar to hunk.(Also the designer of 200NS has also been on the design team of Hunk) But the tank of the Hunk looks disproportionate(bigger) with the actual size of the bike!!
does the tank of 200NS get along with the whole bike??
Also, what I felt from the pictures is that the split handle bar's height is more as compared to other bikes. does that look odd??
Thanks for ur pics and descriptions..

Glynn Kerr is a design consultant. More of a part time designer.Originally posted by Dman View Posti thought Edgar Hienrich was only involved with the BAL team in designing the next gen pulsar. Edgar Heinrich was a full time Bajaj employee. Now he is head of BMW Motorrad Design.
