KTM Duke 390 to be launched on June 25

The Bike enthusiasts has been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the KTM Duke 390, and now it seems like the wait is going to get over soon. KTM India's official facebook page has teased an image indicating the launch date of the highly anticipated sportsbike of the year. The motorcycle is slated to be launched on June 25.




If the company manages to price the Duke 390 competitive, as it earlier had done at the launch of KTM Duke 200, it will surely attract the buyers. The sportsbike is powered by a 373cc single cylinder injected liquid cooled engine, which is capable of developing 44PS and 35Nm of top torque. The engine of the Sportsbike is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.


The power to weight ratio of the sportsbike stands at a class leading 316PS/tonne!, and it will sprint from 0 to 100kmph in under 7 seconds, and can attain a top speed of 170kmph. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.5lakh for the Indian buyers. In first look, the Duke 390 looks quite similar to that of Duke 200, although it has a different body graphics as it gets a stickier set of Metzler rubbers.

Do you guys think the D390 will get detuned for India? Due to lowering of the (higher)compression ratio which currently requires 95RON fuel whereas we run on 89-91RON?

Just got a info from probiking centre today that 390 is gonna launch before this month, dont is it correct or not but I this this is the suitable time for a launch, as no aunch is expected near by....

Got an update from KTM [BTM] showroom that the booking is going to start on June 20 and launch on June 22 [on B'lore orange day] & delivery during 1st week of July.... Is there a B'lore orange day on 22??

Great news there vidhya! I can see your enthusiasm by your activeness in only this particular thread I know that last year KTM organized Orange Day for duke owners & enthusiasts, but I am not sure if '22nd June, every year' is the catch phrase. Maybe they are planning to launch the 'pint-sized' beast by organizing one and of course D390 launch deserves 'the crowd'. Not sure though

I have been actively following this thread since it started. I'm without a motorcycle for the past 3 months and desperately waiting to get this one.

....and I have been following all the tourer threads in XBHP for the past 1 year and became member only 3 months ago...

Well, I can understand your desperation as I too had gone through such phase; who doesn't?!! But now I am actually desperate to upgrade my bike & Duke 390 seems to be the 'one'. Of course, it'll depend on a lot of factors, still, might not wait till the release of P375

OT:Guys you people don't feel bored???enough of prediction etc let them roll out first anything which at all resemble those pics doing rounds on net for some time.Then on let the dust settle get a test ride then decide.

I share your feelings. I am desperate for this since I sold my cbr 250r in March. Been 3 months now without a bike and I am going mad here. Bajaj keeps postponing the launch date with every month. I booked in April and since then not a single time the probiking guy has called me. Only me bothering him twice a week min. since 2 months

My only wish for the bike is that KTM offers a windshield as an add on accessory.

Does anyone know if the duke has any speed restriction till the 1st service? how is it in D200?
