      hi,
      did anyone notice that the kerb weight has gone up?
      on the ktm website it is still mentioned as: Weight without fuel approx. 139 kg, while during the launch they talked about 145kg?

          Did ask them. They said it will be around 2.3 OTR Bangalore.

          Now i am in a dilemma as to whether to go for finance, or beg-borrow-steal, and arrange the full amount in the next couple of months??typo

              I spoke to Mr Paul of KTM Bangalore whose no. I shared a few pages back.
              He said:

              30K advance booking

              I asked him how does 1.8 L become 2.3 L - 50 k extra??? He politely took down my email to send me a detailed mail on the same. Lets see ...

                Guys, when are you plannin' to visit any showroom?? lemme know; I was plannin' for coming Sunday.. I, for sure, will go for finance. Sigh, I so wanna own it!!

                      Went to Pune probiking showroom today and they are taking bookings from last 10 days.Around 70 bookings has already been done.
                      Booking amount is 30K and if you cancel the booking you will get 26K back and 4K will go in KTM's pocket.Waiting period is 90 days,but i guess...delivery will be given earlier to the privileged(jugadu's) one's and others who are paying all in cash

                        Did they share the finance details too? I am sure it would be very expensive. Somehow, for bikes Finance is very expensive compared to cars.

                        My thoughts are also along the same lines, whether to save up and buy cash down or take a loan. Another variable here is for how long this 'introductory' pricing is valid for and by how much will they raise the price.

                            For the 200, the introductory price did last a decent amount of time and 11k units sold in 1.5 yrs is not path-breaking. So i assume the Introductory offer on 390 will stay for some time. at the same time, why take chance, might as well pay 30k and book one now. rest we have have to pay at delivery, which seems like a couple of months at least. That should be decent amount of time to arrange full amount or arrange a loan. Worst case scenario: loose 4k at cancellation.

                              My delhi dealer told me that display bike will arrive in a day or two. The handing over of bike will take minimum 10 days if things are smooth. I booked my bike on march so let's see!!!

                                Went to BTM-KTM today. Booking to start tomorrow with 30K as booking amount. Delivery to take 60-70 days. Test ride bikes will be available starting either tomorrow or the day after. After the long wait, I guess 1.8L Ex Showroom is inviting

                                As regards bike loan, there are some banks that provide superbike loans (more the bike's amount, lesser the interest). Tata Capital offers one around 9-10%
