If you're askin' bout' D390, I seriously doubt anyone's got any answer, as its launch is still due . Unlike any other new bike, I am pretty sure it will have its own run-in period with restrictions on the speed.
About D200,,,, owners, please throw some light!!

Another doubt...D390 figures on paper are awesome, cant imagine 44ps with 139kg of weight. Street riding will no doubt be fun. But how will it perform on highways? After all it's a single cylinder engine. Can it hold on to 3 digit speeds for long or will it feel stressed?

Awesome! Thanks! The Puig one seems more functional but the official one looks better. Any idea if the amazon one ships to india? I tried to check there but couldnt find anything. It doesnt ship to India.

To get either, you need someone in UK or US. That sucks!

It may not come through amazon here. probably our performance/riding gear shops will sell them once 390 is out. or else, owners can mass purchase from abroad.

official one will not be that effective

A bigger tank may be...Or a touring version of it.390 looks quite tempting with that Price tag.Streets are going to get flooded with it

Yea true. Lets see what the stores do when the bike gets launched.

Bigger Tank would be a definite bonus though you can manage for the time being. But to do sustained high speeds, a wind screen would be essential.
If the price is going to be north of 2L you dont have to worry about exclusivity. Maybe our xbhp meets will get flooded with them but not the streets.

The restriction for 200 Duke is only in terms of rpm (not kph). That is 7000 rpm. I expect the 390 to have a similar (6500-7000 rpm) limit, since that redlines at 10000 rpm as well.

As per reviews, 390 comes with little taller gears and 6th gear being overdrive. I am sure it will easily cruise at 120kmph

Thx for the info...I'm so tired of bigger cars passin me on highways. Have a p220, but cant maintain 3 digit figures for long on that...but i'm gonna miss her...

120 is something that our last generation air cooled bikes does all day.

Autocar says:

Holding cruising speeds in the region of 130kph is a breeze on the new KTM, the 390 Duke purring along at 7000rpm in sixth at this speed, and a leisurely 5000rpm showing on the counter when at 100kph.

Zig Wheels says:

the 390 Duke can reach a top whack upwards of 170km/h while effortlessly sustaining triple digits cruising speeds slotted in sixth gear and nowhere near the redline

kochumvk - Our current air cooled bikes are performing close to their limit while cruising at 120. The 390 does it at somewhere close to 6000 rpm with bucket loads of performance (for Indian roads) still remaining.

Awaiting Elixir.

The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.
