First ride impression from overdrive.

Feels like a balanced and realistic first impression... Even though it feels little downing at times, for example where it says that 390, due to its tall gearing and despite obviously much more power, doesn't have that "frenetic" character that 200 has.

There's an interesting bit where KTM's R&D manager Sebastian Sekira mentions and compares Metzelers and MRFs:
“The second difference are the new Metzeler Sportec M5 tyres which will come to India as well.” Why? Is something wrong with the MRFs? “No, the MRFs are actually excellent. But when we decided to make the 390 Duke we realised it would be a premium product and that it would hit as much 160-170kmph flat out. So we specified these new Sportec M5 tyres for the bike. They are better overall than the MRFs by a small margin, but have significantly better wet weather performance.”

Sounds like 390's Metzelers are much better than 200's MRFs only in rain, and just slightly in dry weather.

I personally don't like ABS and have very little wet weather where I live, so two big upgrades of 390 over 200 (ABS and Metzelers) are of very little use for me. (Of course, I'm aware and understand that these two can be of huge importance for someone else.)
Ah, I just wish KTM would offer cheaper version of 390 without ABS as well! Choice is always good...

Is it refundable, considering the price still remains guess work (even for Probiking)?

+1 to this.a choice would have been good.thou 160 kph and wet weather/indian roads doees make the case of abs strong.they could reduce the price of abs im guessing by getting rid of the on-the-fly switcher.
