  • Haunted Roads and Highways to avoid?

    Hello all,

Just wanted to get all your experiences, as I have heard from my friends that while riding the bikes or 4WD, u normally face some strange exoeriences at night, some call it haunted experiences and Ghosts?

    IS it really true?

and if yes, can you all share your experiences with the path or road in which u have experienced this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Happy & Safe Journey

Well i havent had such experiences but i know people who claim to have seen ghosts, apparitions or had paranormal experiences on interior roads in the countryside etc. Though there is one street in the Vileparle Suburb in the heart of Mumbai where late night riders (3 people i know) claim to have independently sighted an "apparition of a woman" running towards your vehicle which might result in panic braking eventually a fall from the bike. Well i tried my luck on that road atleast 5 times in the dead of the night but no such great sighting for me.
@thexplanet- Have u had such experiences before?, If so please share them we would like to know.

Never experienced yet. Once i was alone returning from chennai to my hometown, I wantonly stopped near a cremation ground to handshake with any ghost & have a chit chat about XBHP, but to my disappointment no g2g happened at that place with any ghost Eagerly waiting to come across.

                ROFL.

Here in delhi, the delhi cantonment road adjoining airport is known for such things to happen.

I went for a ride to Kuntala last week and covered around 325 Km of NH7(one way from Hyderabad to Nirmal , almost halfway to Nagpur) . The only issue is a stretch of 70-80 kms starting from Dichpalli to somewhere ahead of Armur . This stretch is a nightmare . This patch is a single lane road with numerous pot holes or rather craters . These craters coupled with never ending heavy vehicles will ruin your ride. If by any chance you happen to cross this patch at night please get ensured before attempting . At night you not have to worry about incoming vehicles but also have to care about potholes . Eventually whenever a heavy vehicle crosses you you are blinded for a few secs.

Ride on NH-9 between Viajaywada and Hyderabad. The heart-in-mouth experiences will haunt you forever.\

On a serious note, there are some places on this route where accidents happen very frequently and people link this to some ghosts.

Back in year 2000 when we were travelling from Mumbai to my native, Malvan (close to Goa) on NH17, we met with horrific accident.
                              Thankfully everybody survived.
It happened in the early morning (4 AM).
I had to stay back there with my uncle as Police had come to do investigation.
That's when a truck too lost his control at same place & it banged a 6 seater rickshaw.
Driver & clear were skillful to have avoided any casualties.

That's when I heard people murmuring that this place is haunted & such accidents are common there.
I dont know if to consider it as mere co-incidence or a paranormal one.
