Iam not a movie buff. There are very few movies which i see on the big screen (IMAX screen). The ones which are worth watching are very few. For example The Dark Knight (9.5/10) or The Independence Day (9/10). I feel 2012 isnt worth the 100 or 200 bucks which i was about to spend.Originally posted by TnT View PostTo enjoy the movie for it's special effects, you should have watched it on the big screen. It's got a sad storyline.
It has a sad storyline but it could have been pictured better. Not through the amazingly awful special effects. They may have created through some real hard work but i somehow feel they did not go well with the movie.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

Ya Rahul.. I have to say I sort of enjoyed the special effects, maybe it's because I have an imaginative and sometimes gullible mind, but I can say I got my money's worth. It's sad that you tried to enjoy such an obviously special effects based movie on the PC re..!Originally posted by riazmomin View Posthow can you tell a movie is not worthwatching on bigscreen without watchin on it?? Hold on guys..Originally posted by ceasar View Postthat film is meant to be watched on BIG SCREENS dude, otherwise u miss the fun

I found the movie way too fictitious & unrealistic. So did not feel like watching on big screen. I did not see it in the PC. Saw it on my friend's 40" Sony home theatre at full volume.
The sound-effects are nothing much to praise about. The visual effects are fine. I somehow felt really uninterested watching it. Was way too unnatural. Opinions differ from person to person. Iam not a great fan of such special effect movies. My favorite genre is crime, thriller, action, suspense etc. And as i said before iam not a big movie buff!

I don't particularly love Sci-fi but, i LOVED this movie. It was very well executed, played on the right emotional chords at the right times. CGI was PERFECT, not one moment did I feel that I was watching something artificial. I'd rate it 9.5/10Originally posted by Priyatam View PostJust watched District 9. Spectacular movie, this is how good CGI and perfect narration comes out. Watch it if you love Sci-Fi stuff

Finished seeing Blood Diamond. Nice movie. Especially the way Leonardo Di Caprio transforms into a better human. Really worth watching.
My rating 7/10.
