Iam not a movie buff. There are very few movies which i see on the big screen (IMAX screen). The ones which are worth watching are very few. For example The Dark Knight (9.5/10) or The Independence Day (9/10). I feel 2012 isnt worth the 100 or 200 bucks which i was about to spend.
It has a sad storyline but it could have been pictured better. Not through the amazingly awful special effects. They may have created through some real hard work but i somehow feel they did not go well with the movie.

      • A few days back I just found out that

Chocolate (Bollywood) = The Usual Suspects (Hollywoood) Complete Ripoff.

A rather pacifying alternative to that torture was "Lucky Number Slevin". I watched that on ZeeStudio.

Ya Rahul.. I have to say I sort of enjoyed the special effects, maybe it's because I have an imaginative and sometimes gullible mind, but I can say I got my money's worth. It's sad that you tried to enjoy such an obviously special effects based movie on the PC re..!

True Riaz bhai, Dark Knight is legen.... wait for it.... dary!

I found the movie way too fictitious & unrealistic. So did not feel like watching on big screen. I did not see it in the PC. Saw it on my friend's 40" Sony home theatre at full volume. The sound-effects are nothing much to praise about. The visual effects are fine. I somehow felt really uninterested watching it. Was way too unnatural. Opinions differ from person to person. Iam not a great fan of such special effect movies. My favorite genre is crime, thriller, action, suspense etc. And as i said before iam not a big movie buff!

I don't particularly love Sci-fi but, i LOVED this movie. It was very well executed, played on the right emotional chords at the right times. CGI was PERFECT, not one moment did I feel that I was watching something artificial. I'd rate it 9.5/10

                      • Finished seeing Blood Diamond. Nice movie. Especially the way Leonardo Di Caprio transforms into a better human. Really worth watching.

                        My rating 7/10.

                          • ^^I agree...You cant expect much from a CAM Quality Print of any movie for that matter.

The cumulative earning for the movie 2012 has crossed Rs.70 crores in India. Almost on par with the Bollywood blockbusters!!

Yes, hats-off to Peter Jackson. He is one hell of a director and producer
