  • Mumbai under attack : Its a shame!

I am sure all of us here are aware of Mumbai being under attack. Its a shame, when terrorists can easily put a city on hold - from five star hotels to public roads.

My sympathy for those who have suffered. Hope all xbhpians, their friends / relatives are ok. I believe terrorists are still hiding in some places.

    Off-Topic Approved.

Yes, it is a shame, but what is the Government or the so called top intelligence agencies doing? I mean, these terrorists attack whenever and wherever they want to! It's as if there is no stopping them.

I got this news from one of the xBhpian (Leon), late night and i was really shocked; switched on the television to see the gruesome pictures of one of the most deadly terror strikes that India has ever witnessed. What's concerning is that these terrorists have held up hostages, and were able to make their way into some top hotels and all.

So many people lost their lives for no fault of theirs; many top police officials also laid their lives, including the Mumbai ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) chief..This is really heart-breaking and something which really shouldn't have happened in the first place, if the so called "agencies" would've been alert!

My aunt, uncle, cousin and a lot of my relatives are at Mumabi(Sion). I have been to these hotels. Just looking at the pics tears my heart. Hope all our xBhpian friends and their relatives are safe.

The worst part is that these attacks have happened within a 1 km radius of the Police commissioner's office. May the souls of the people who lost their lives RIP!!!

This year has seen some of the worst attacks and the number has been so much - Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur now Mumbai and so on. I guess it is time the vigil is intensified and more security is put up.

we might say that our intelligence is not upto the mark...but at this point all those cops and other commandos need our wishes and support. i kno this is science age but still wishing them good luck does not hurt any of us. And our cops desperately need GOOD LUCK (along with upgraded weapons).

Very much true.... Sorry for my bad memory!!! India as a whole has had a very bad and gruesome year in 2008. If this had happened in the US, UK or some EU countries the reaction of the whole world and the respective countries itself would have been so very different!

i feel that enough is enough ... RAW should take cues from MOSAD and do similar to what they did after the Munich massacre... thats it...

Not only the stock markets; I hear it has been declared a holiday in Mumbai today. Everything, except the State Government departments, are on off today.

Couldn't find anything on the net about this.

But, the England cricket team is flying back; the tour has been abandoned following the terror strike.

Big difference that's going to make. 5-0 vs 7-0.

Can we have a call in of Mumbai members just to make sure everyone's okay? Anup, cosgeo, motorbreath, satyen, chetan.. others?
