Im working at InterContinental The Lalit, Andheri East.

Alls well at my work place. But its still tense. I have my afternoon shift today. ets see im going to work. But just praying on the way .
Also I've said this on the Safety Ride thread and will say it here too.

"No date on the calendar can be guaranteed as free from terrorist attacks in this day and age.
May the good Lord have mercy on us all and may peace prevail eventually.

P.S.: Clearly brings to light the lack of security on the waterways.

Also, please, please do not panic!. Stay calm and more importantly vigilant.

        Take care.
        God bless and good luck!

            England Tour called Off ....
Because of terror strikes, England have decided to call off the India tour including the 2 remaining one days and 2 tests (one test is supposed to be held in Mumbai and both the teams are suppose to stay at Taj Hotel)

The operation at the Taj is 50% completed according to the news channels. A room by room sweep is on.

The trident however has several hostages and like Aryan da posted earlier witnessed an explosion of unknown origin an hour ago.
Hope Mumbai comes out of this without any long term repercussions.

P.S : Our intel sources maybe bad but even the U.K had their underground rail system under seige. No amount of intel protected even the Israeli's during the hijacking at Entebe.
The difference however between the US, UK, Israel etc is the quality of their Police, Defence personnel. And also the governments strength and willingness to sustain collateral damage than negotiate with the monsters that these terrorists are...

cannot do anything with that india really needs an organisation like FBI CIA which have srong intel base... not like RAW OR IB anyways and the police babus need to workout and burn their extra fat rather than taking bribe under the table.....
and yeah the police and the security forces need to have new weapons and should be advanced in terms of weapons and techniques !!!

govt of India should take this case seriously....

The place where the taxi blew up is very near to my place. Late in the evening at around 1030 ya something, i was busy on the mac, all of a sudden i heard this huge blast. I was like who the hell is bursting crackers right now. My bro checked it cant be a firecracker. So we raced to the ground floor, where my neighbors had gathered. Then got a confirmation from a local that there was a blast on the highway which was heard as far as the VileParle station! Thats huge man. Immediately we raced to the spot and there was complete chaos. People were flocking to see what happened and the traffic was diverted through parle. When i reached the spot, a little far from it as the police immediately sealed the area what i saw was blown up pieces of the cab here and there. nothing was recognisable. Took some pix which didnt turn up clear. The police were shooing away the public and hence i came back. Then later on learnt about the Taj and Oberoi episode. Rest is history. Really really bad this. I woke up till 4 am after this.

The govts truly doing nothing about this. Even while it happened yesterday a couple of terrorists escaped in police vans! take that. Pity this situation. How could they let such a security breach happen!

May those who died, their souls rest in peace.

What makes me wonder is all hotels attacked are 5 star hotels, don't there security department have a metal detuctor. or was they over confident that these crooks will never enter there hotels. saddest part is we always learn from the mistakes made.

A big salute to the cops who lost there lives in this mission, they surely desrve a much better award than param veer chakra, may there souls RIP
