I think I got a fair idea but the front of the helmet is slightly more pointy than the the curved mount and that got me thinking howwww

I will surely look into this Yi Camera Travel Edition made by Xiaomi. Do you know whats the price for it for a new one?
      Glad to help buddy.

Well, a new Yi Camera isn't available officially in India, but you can get on Ebay for as low as Rs. 8500, talking about the travel edition, imported from other countries by sellers of India. Check the seller's feedback first, it should be around 95% positive.

Xiaomi sells it for around some $90-100 in some markets. If the ebay unit you get is seal-packed, in original box, you can open & connect it and see if it works ok with your phone, otherwise ebay will refund your money in full and you can return the item as it is.

As far as mounts are concerned, I've heard that GoPro mounts work ok with Yi Camera and its supplied accessories.
Add to it, you get a standard tripod socket on the camera itself and you've already got yourself a huge list of supported accessories, which include both cheap aftermarket stuff and lots of original mounts too.

So, nothing to worry as such, but you'll have to shop a little more than just the camera, and you should be doing good with it...

Finally i got my yi camera + 36 accessories kit + water proof casing (through my friend from Amazon US) for 124$.... Everything is excellent, but the battery life is short. No way short compared to GoPro, except the battery. Yi accessories are very rare here and are so costly in India.

Hope the capture time will be about an hour max. However you can capture while charging (with water proof casing removed), so no big deal... Wifi sucks battery life a lot. The mobile app is very good, connects quickly but the video transfer rate is slow at 8-10mbps max (phone --> yi). Don't know, but this is what i get. Slow motion at 240fps is just awesome.....

I have got almost of all mounts.... So it's very flexible.Click image for larger version

          Hey guys

I got my GitUp Git2 Pro Packing and I will post a review soon on it. To do that I will have to mount it on my helmet. I am not comfortable with the helmet side mount hence I would like to chin mount the camera.

As chin mounts are not available in India, I saw a few posts where a GoPro mount could be converted into a chin mount.

As I was googling, the below blog seemed to have the solution.

          GoPro HERO4 Helmet Chin Mount

Can someone help me understand if this solution will work for sure ? The top mount that is mentioned in the blog is readily available near my place.

                    Good does it support 240fps?

I don't see a huge requirement for 240fps. You would only end up with a full mem card.

Here is my latest video with my sjcam4000 wifi. I took this at 30fps 720p and I find the quality decent enough.

                          Dude

how come your audio is so clear? Does it comes with a mic that can be extended into the helmet?

haha we never shares the secrets

I use a separate mic, that goes into my smartphone. I use my PS4's mono headset as its a waste otherwise but has an excellent mic.
Better than most 3rd party mic's
So the phone records the audio in MP3.

The cam also has a mic but its sound is muted because of the waterproof casing.
so I have 2 audio streams to work with. I just sync the two streams while editing.
