      Perhaps, India is one of the few countries where people wear helmets to save themselves from paying up traffic fines; not to save themselves from potentially fatal injuries.
      I've also seen many people apparently 'saving' battery by not turning on the headlamp during night(where roads have good and not-so-good lighting)! Feel like them up like anything. They are not only jeopardizing their own life but everyone else on the road.
      A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
