@All: I have read each and every post and truly empathize with those affected. But the thread starter seems to have gone through a really harrowing deal. Sadly some people are narrow minded. But being in the hospitality industry and in the Front Office I can't help but say that the recent events of the past have lead to such a situation. I'm not saying that motorist guests should be differentiated based on the number of wheels on their vehicles. But I'm sure you all understand the reason behind stringent security checks at hotels.

However, I also strongly agree with 'Anhil8r'.

Once again I apologize on behalf of the industry and will try my best at my workplace atleast to ensure all guests are treated equally. Be it at the F and B outlets or even the entrance.
    10 Commandments:
1)Thank thy God for being alive.
2)Thou shalt respect one's own life and the live's of other road users.
3)Thou shalt respect one's own bike.
4)Love thy bike as thy self.
    5)Always wear safety gear.
    6)Alcohol is a strict NO!
7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!
8)Thou shalt ride with 'ultra-most' care and caution when on Indian roads.
9)Thou shalt never leave the engine running at long traffic halts.
10)Thou shalt follow all of the above.

My advice meet the lobby manager and tell him to show you the rule where it says two wheelers are not allowed or better still ask him to take the responsibility of the safety of your bike . he'll have to give in. trust me
And I hv the outside exp []. I stay near to Leela and my frn's office is very close too. So we all frns catch up for a bowling or coffee at Barista. Some time ago I took my bike and asked for parking. And u knw wts the reply. Politely they asked me park at adjacent road. But thr is sign board which clearly says its a no parking area. They tried to convince that nothing will happen showing me some 10 odd standing 2 wheelers. Thing is I have seen vehicles were thrown like garbage when one VVIP politician arrived sighting security!!

Filhal, I am happy with my frns office parking. They nw knw me very well and letting me park vehicle with out much hassle.
The treat of 5 star hotel is really disappointing in this issue and shows how Indian follows other blindly(tht to Indian r best in hospitality from ages) , leaving there mind and heart...

i beg to differ and i wish someone explains the following to the 5* managements:
terrorism is not petty crime. you are taking on mighty nations, entire armies and paramilitia.
i am sure a terrorist from a large multinational organisation has much more money bullets and other resources than any other MNC topshot staying in a hotel.
pardon me but if you were a terrorist , it wont be a big deal for you to arrange for a merc, rolls royce even to roll into the 5* driveway.
a powerful detonation paraphernalia costs 10-100 times a honda civic considering the logistics. . you would in all probabilities roll around town in decent cars not on bikes, the very feudal system will let you pass barricades in streets without checking you if you are in a car.
          @mik agreed
@nitingirish good attitude. why beg for such issues. if someone doesn t respects me for my worth, would it degrade me?? not unless i agree with him.
by the way, how many of us xbhpians actually think they are courteous and nice to fellow humans?? and under all but desperate circumstances?

Its the biggest reason I dont go to Leela despite the convienient Barista. Got really bugged when I had to park my bike outside the Leela on a saturday night. My only consolation was that there was an R1 parked right next to my bike , so I knew the treatment was uniform.

I do remember the words "This is India".. guys this is happening everyday of my life when I park my bike at my company. The Security was guiding me for the available space and for reverse as well when I was entered with car. And whenever if go by bike , they wont bother and the bad incident was after I parked my bike on main stand they simply drag the bike to park very closely even infornt me.

I was almost dead after seeing this and escalated to admin and poor respose from such reputed companies..what to say?

This is how they broke my bike's frame that was already in its final stages. But they didn't dare to do this infront of me, so couldn't find the culprit.

A very very relevant topic brought up by the thread starter. And I totally feel that we should do something about this. Forget 5 star hotels. Cinema halls & even some malls don't let you enter their premises with helmets!!! Security excuse is real bullshit. If I am a terrorist, & I wanna blow up a hotel, Mall or Cinema hall, then I would just take hint from the guys who are almost daily exploding car bombs in Afghanistan.

We should seriously do something about it

Why not start a chain mail...get it acknowledged by all the intersted people & then send the same to the Hotel companies??

After a similar experince at 5star, this is what we said to manager - "The dabha wala is much better then you, for him every customer is God and he treats them equally with all his heart, and we will celebrate at dabha, and you can keep your richness showoff in your ass..."

We thought of sending a notice to Muncipal corporation to make that road as only for two whellers, given that it was very narrow and give a bypass road at backside for Cars and 4wheelers

I Know that I have posted in this thread after the last post was an year back. But I remember reading this thread a year ago.

Guys after an year do you see any difference in their attitude towards bikes? I have seen, still we are getting the same treatment. Do you have any experience which proves me wrong?

                                @JD666..
Carry your camera along. Switch it on as you approach the security. Talk to the guy. Ask him are u sure about 2-wheelers thing. If so, i would like to have you r confirmation on the camera.. THat should fix him up for good.

Indian mein log camera se darthe hai. No one would agree on a camera , not to park your bike in the hotel bcos they are not even sure who you are in the first place and what your intentions are. They could end up on India TV too

As far as i know, cameras are not prohibited inside any hotel

Just an idea that came to my mind
