actually i am not that tight on the budget.Originally posted by sarbanoxley View PostCooler master PSU are tier 4 where as Corsair VX450 is a made by seasonic
so its anyday better than a coolermaster.I have VX450 and it rocks
.
Anvancy if on tight budget why not get E5200 and pair it with GA-G31M-S2L(2.2K) you can easily oc it to 3.3-.3.5 on stock cooling. And overclocking is real easy
.
i am thinking of the GA-EP45-DS4P which is a non UC3 feature..that 2oz copper.i have ya i know OLD C2D E6300 1.86ghz..
..even i know corsair is better cause of seasonic while cooler master is essentially enhance!but some are saying the silent pro series and real series is good..lets see.

No it isnt a bad SMPS maker. Its just that their budget Extreme Power series isnt as good. The Real Power and Silent Pro are among the top performers.Originally posted by anvancy View Posthmm..what i want to ask is..
is coolermaster a bad smps maker or a certain series of smps that CM makes is bad??
what if corsair is not in my cards??then will a cooler master silent pro or real power be equally good??
regarding 4770..hmmm..interesting..frankly in my research its just clearly showing that ATI is giving a complete bang for the buck.Nvidia is not atleast in my budget.and anyways in my budget range both are performing at PAR!

Here's a good review of the CM Real Power 550W.

Here's another one for the RP Pro 460W:

You are getting a HD 4770 or a GTS 250 arent you?

I have the CM Real Power 450W for the last three years and its running rock solid still.
But in case you are in the market looking for one then better go for the Corsair.
whats the take on the corsair VX series?
