Since I don't have vista , cant really guide you step by step.
The only thing I can recommend is to google 'how to edit bcdedit.exe' or 'editing boot configuring data' or try this ms help and support link - >
BCDEdit Commands for Boot Environment

this thing went WAY above my headOriginally posted by niks_devil666 View PostEdit the boot.ini file on c:\ , its a system file , hence go and make it visible first.
Else go to system properties , advanced , start up and recovery , settings and go and edit this file from here or change some options.
(P.S. this was in XP , I am expecting it to be same in Vista)
EDIT : run windows DOS(start->run->command) , type bcdedit.exe , now you will need to remove unwanted entries.

^ I guess you'll have to rewrite the MBR , google about it and you might get something

@Aryan,
Contact Mass Computers @ N.P. , Delhi. Ask for 1TB Caviar SE Green 1TB Sata II HD.
Priced approx ~ 5850/- . Performance drive, no doubt!
Btw, 1TB MyBook Essental Protable HD costs ~6K. Try SMC Internationals also.
Good Luck buddy!Last edited by gold_heart007; 06-28-2009, 03:08 AM.

As Niks said a SEAGATE 1 TB with 32 MB cache is 4550 in Chennai(excluding tax). Prices - http://www.deltapage.com/Originally posted by Aryan View PostI had a simple enough question. On a budget of about Rs.5k, what is the highest capacity hard disk drive that one can buy?
My HDD is almost full (it's a 300GB one), and my big B says he needs as large a HDD under Rs.5k!
