^^Incase u are looking for 550W PSU, look out for CM RealPower 550W! Costing around 5K! (Excellent performance and service) HX series are meant for high end gaming PCs. Plus, quite costly in comparison to VX series.

if u check VISTA ULTIMATE SERVICE PACK 1 it is a lot more stable with fixed bugs,...just like xp..and the compatibility issues have been resolved to some extent...still some applications won't run on it..,...its a good buy if u have xp..so u can dual boot them and use accordinglly...

regarding that dual booting factor....ther will b no problem if u dual boot with vista...the only prob u will face is if u installed xp and then vista ,,if something happens and u need to format and reinstall XP ..if u do that..then ther will be xp booting in the next boot..vista's boot loader will be deleted/overwrite by xp's ..MBR of vista will be deleted..now if u insert the vista's bootable cd and chose the option to repair ..it will repair the MBR..in the mean time XP's boot loader will get deleted....so there will be vista booting the next time...

to solve one software is there can't remeber the name..but it does half job..

and yaeh VISTA ULTIMATE SERVICE PACK 2 is realeased i think it promise to resolve the issues to a larger extent ..read it somewhere on popular PC magazine

Gigas are monster overclockers. But giga. indias pricing policy sucks if u can source the boards from abroad that would be great.
the two machos gigabyte and asus play the market.

i have read that stock coolers dont go good on OCs.my board was a ga-945gms2 which was not an OC board.so i was stock!

and thanks aparajith for the link.

Got a new Palit GTX 260 Sonic. Its good card. Very thermally efficient too.
Got it for Rs.12,500 (- Rs.4000 for my old 8800 GT).
It seems the 4870 1GB retails for 17K here, surprisingly expensive to the NVidia.

Anvancy, just happened to read ur CoolerMaster SMPS related queries. Check this for more info: Corsair VX450 vs CoolerMaster eXtreme Power 600W - PC Peripherals - TechEnclave

And as mentioned only their Extreme series is bad. Rest are good.

And moreover I wanted an upgrade route in the future if I plan to do. The 775 socket will soon be phased out. Although INTEL is still unsure of which way to go(check here: Intel Stops Core i7 940, 965 - CPU/Mobo Corner - TechEnclave), i7 am sure will have a longer life than the 775 socket. Also one great advantage of x58 platform is that, it supports both crossfire and SLI on same board, no different motherboards.

is i7 really needed in case of gaming??wont a normal quad do??

also i7 is still in its early years.so what are your views regarding it.

what i presume is that i7 will be for those having a moolah right??

some help will be beneficial for me.
