Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

To each, his own! All bikes are VFM.
        How? Why?

Every person has his own measures to calculate whether a bike is worth every penny its asking for.
For some its the Splendor that does the trick, for their "usage" of the bike is satisfied with it, for some its the CBR 250R due to its slick 6 speed gearbox and mile munching capabilities, whereas for some its the P200NS which offers the latest tech within 1 Lac.

If you ask me to choose from the above 5, I'll pick 2 bikes. [maybe in any order]
        1. Duke 200
        2. CBR 250R (ABS) - I'd choose the ABS variant over the non ABS one for the safety it offers at a mere premium of 30K.

        Cheers

          This question doesn't make sense.

One of my neighbor bought Scooty pep because he thought it was VFM for his use (he owns a bungalow & I'm damn sure he can buy a BMW 3 series overnight); he considers my CBR 250R as expensive & waste of money. To me, CBR 250R is better VFM product than Ninja 250R.

Heard an opinion from xBhpian that GT650R was better VFM product than N250R as it was priced slightly more than N250R but takes him into a totally different segment.

Now which is VFM? - "To each, his own! All bikes are VFM"

Absolutely agree on this - "To each, his own! All bikes are VFM"
Thats why made a poll to see what individual majority thinks.
Even that why kept a place open for the OTHERS option; as the just the above four cant justify the poll.

The poll will only give an idea about what the MAJORITY INDIVIDUAL thinks as most VFM bike.

Voted for Duke-Had I not re-built my RX135 I would have bought this.
N650 also has very good pricing.

VFM may make sense if you refer to a particular class. You can't list duke and cbr250 and ask which is VFM.
I voted for discover125st as i feel it is VFM including ownership costs in the bikes you have listed.
Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

That is exactly how VFM is measured.
Its the Value (with the fun/facility/service/etc,etc that the bike provides against the money you Pay.). so how can one restrict it to a particular class.??
All it comes down to is the RATIO between the Value:Money in your Individual opinion

BTW, thanks for the your vote.

You can't take the VFM to be literal price to power/features/any priorities.
For example If i am a tourer cbr250r is VFM, for street rider duke is VFM, for track days R15 is VFM, for commuter discover125ST is VFM.
This is my logic/reason behind class and VFM.
Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

Your Logic is well respected and seems Fair enough.
But still, lets carry one with the survey..

                          There's no provision to specify
