Absolutely agree on this - "To each, his own! All bikes are VFM"
Thats why made a poll to see what individual majority thinks.
Even that why kept a place open for the OTHERS option; as the just the above four cant justify the poll.

The poll will only give an idea about what the MAJORITY INDIVIDUAL thinks as most VFM bike.

    How? Why?

Every person has his own measures to calculate whether a bike is worth every penny its asking for.
For some its the Splendor that does the trick, for their "usage" of the bike is satisfied with it, for some its the CBR 250R due to its slick 6 speed gearbox and mile munching capabilities, whereas for some its the P200NS which offers the latest tech within 1 Lac.

If you ask me to choose from the above 5, I'll pick 2 bikes. [maybe in any order]
    1. Duke 200
    2. CBR 250R (ABS) - I'd choose the ABS variant over the non ABS one for the safety it offers at a mere premium of 30K.

    Cheers
will vote for this after I ride your NS till then no vote from my side...but what u exactly expect from VFM?
Value with the Value added services which includes showoff, styling, and longevity.....
Correct me if I am wrong....in terms of Longevity Value Presence Maturity Style Ride-comfort Attitude Mileage(one of the most imp factors in India: again petrol price hiked) Reliability Handling and Personal Delight....does any of the above mentioned bikes comes anywhere near to a Royal Enfield....
I have a 40+ years old Bullet in my Garage....and I know what it is made up of....

Regarding ur choice, always have had Huge respect for Bullet.
In that case, your vote must go with the "Others" option.

i first thought the ns to b a vfm ,, but after riding/feeling it, i feel it is overpriced at 1lakh .. i would have blindly bought ns if i had not tested the duke .. u get nothing special in ns even after paying a lakh but for 1.45 lakh u get everything special in duke ..i honestly feel that bajaj came up with ns just to give a cheaper alternative to duke and make more profits ...just park both ns and duke next to each other and observe to analyze which one is worth how much ...

              Purpose?

What is the purpose of this poll?
Its obvious that 200 ns being positioned as a mass market product would be VFM bike for most of us.
But does that change anything? Or are you trying to prove a Hypothesis?

So, u think that Discover ST ain't a Mass market product??

As for Purpose - I have already explained it in my post on 1st page

Rohan, it may be your personal view but how many times have you mentioned this in different threads? Its obvious that you hate the NS and love Duke. So, stay with the Duke, love it, praise it, but would you please stop critisizing NS again and again?

Even I'm a biker. I love my Pulsar... but that doesn't mean I hate the other bikes. I love the R15, I like Karizma, I like Duke and have ridden all of them now. I would like Royal Enfield bikes too, for a one off ride, although I admit its not for me anytime soon.

Similarly, next time, kindly just move on by saying that "NS is not for me" and avoid getting into brand wars. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean all should hate it. I hope my message is clear, buddy.

If you talk about vfm in every aspect then duke is the clear winner....
                    1. Duke
                    2. 200ns
                    3. Discover 125st
                    4. Pulsar 220
                    5. Rtr180
                    6. R15 v2(compared to cbr150)
                    7. Cbr250r IMO it doesn't justify the price... It sells because it doesn't have a single competitor...except ninja...nothing special in the bike... Just a 250cc engine plonked into an ordinary chasis with a fairing with poor brakes, poor handling, poor tyres and poor quality... Maybe quality is improved than initial lot but its still nowhere close to what a 2 lakh rupees bike should have... It leaves a lot to be desired.... But if i am given 2 lakhs and asked to buy a bike i would choose the cbr250 anyday because we dont have any other option... Waiting eagerly for the yammie 250cc... No offence to any owners here..... but i think its high time honda improves quality....so much arrogance is not good...

i am not against any brand or bike... its just that i have analysed both these bikes closely before buying so these are my personal views.. it doesn't mean that i hate all other bikes which i don't own

Definitely P200NS is the most VFM bike in India today and beats any other bike in India in the VFM scale by a huge margin. Looks like Bajaj are selling it at their cost price. With the launch of P200NS I dont fine Duke to be that VFM since they have the same engine and P200NS looks alottttt better.

Just an advice. If you want a good comparison, its better to get the bikes rated from 1 to 10 of which ever parameter you like. Ranking the bikes would not give you the marginal VFM factors. It would only give ranks but not the difference between the ranks!

actually , my views are complete opposite ... booked ns at first thinking same as you .. then after riding and feeling ns , i got to know that duke gives a whole lot more for extra 40k ..not only power but everything in terms of a complete package ....looks are personal tastes .. there are many people who call the bmw s1000rr ugly ,,i find it beautiful though ..
let me list out what we get in duke for extra 40k .. :-
fi , alluminium swing arm , mfd , usd forks which are the same used in ktm rc8 superbike , wp suspensions , radial tyres , way better power to weight ratio , radially mounted front brake with 4 piston caliper , both brakes get steel braided lines , trellis frame , the sound , the feeling of riding a ktm in india ( priceless ) , exclusivity ,, to my eyes it looks way better than any other bike in india today ( except superbikes ) ..
                                note :- personal views ...
