Mate, to give you a detailed answer would mean me typing out for the next 30 minutes or so.
But here is a easier way. I have ridden my 220 for about 80k before parting ways with it. And have penned down a detailed ownership review.
The link you will find in my signature , just below.

It should answer most your questions.

But to sum it up, if you wish for superior handling and suspension then the 220 is pretty outdated in that perspective.

Do not go to race concepts for any bike modifications...it is an absolute rip off and if you are an auto noob, he will take you for your money...I recently was recommended to buy a carb from him which he happily sold. It has ruined my engine and performance. He sold me a bs29 carb meant for pulsars for rs.4000 when it retailed for rs.2411. Even worse was that he recommended it for my FZ16...

Joel I bought my P220 like 2 months back. And the only reason i bought as opposed to other bikes is cause of your modifications! I hope you're still doing them . How do i get a hold of you or contact you? Help from anyone else also would be appreciated (From one of joel's many friends here) .
