^ if so, go for woodlands... will hold good for a long time.
and personally, when i started using synthetic oil, my gear shifts were pretty smooth. almost feather touch. so that would save your shoe right?

if u feel the tape would lose grip remove the old one and re-wrap it! simple!

for day to day riding u know wat u can do now
ohkk .. ill try it .. thanks for the advise ///

my friend has used synthetic in RTR .. he had a very bad experience ..

anyways ..eventhough my gears are smooth but still there will be a black spot forming on tip [white] part of my canvas shoes .. and even sports shoes ..
i need to clean them reguarly ..

I'm now wondering what's so special about Toe-only shifter other than for the sole purpose of ruining shoes !

I think he would have won even with heel-shifters..

I don't think toe-shifters spoil shoes. If you are wearing chappals when you are riding, well....

Using only your toe to change gears results in much faster gear changes, especially during up-shifting (1-down 4-up) where it is easier to push the lever up with the toe rather than pushing down with your heel. The toe gives more feedback too. Hence, on sports bikes, toe-shifter is installed. This is from my own experience.

I have been using this shoe protector for a while now and its the best protection i have ever bought for my shoes. Its real easy to put on and you can put it on any shoe. I used to wear old sock or an arm band on my shoe but any more.
check it out, its worth every penny.

Looks odd. Best solution is to wrap black insulation tape or duct tape over the shift lever , as suggested earlier.
