Ive slightly pushed/bent the rod away from the exhaust and it seems fine.will add a spacer to the exhaust bolts too.Smoke rubber,not tobacco.

If I do anything like that in any of my designs, which include quite some piping, I can tell you that it will be considered as a VERY serious design flaw!!!Originally posted by RanjithMN View Posti wouldn't call it a serious flaw.
The stand hitting problem-well it hits out stock exhaust too right?there is a rubber piece kept placed for this too.something similar can be done here too.
and about the brake rod scathing-again alternative is possible which im looking into-a thick enough rubber spacer can be paced between the rear screw.that should take care of it.
Anyway, Joel, who is a serious and undeniably knowledgeable professional will very certainly have these "defects" corrected (even-though, IMHO, they should never have existed!), and what is expected from him ahead of anything else is to give us "goodies" that will improve our bikes performances. By all what I read, he does that well.
Looking forward to reading more on theses mods!!!When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!

When we model the exhaust, the main stand is always not considered. Mainly coz these exhausts are always built around like a race exhaust model. But yes, the P220, RTR and FZ need this. The next versions will have the stand resting clamp. And also provide a rubber mount.sigpic

Also noticed that the exhaust travels pretty close to the engine oil drain bolt-looks like the oil will fall on to the exhaust while draining.Smoke rubber,not tobacco.

What is the expected percentage increase in power, I feel as if it is more than 15%. The bike shoots from zero to sixty almost as good as or even better than apache 160. The 80 to 120 acceleration also seems good, better than apache. Today I reached a speed of 125kmph on gps and 123 on odo(mine shows little less mileage than true i think, or maybe it has become that way after a mishap that I had few weeks ago.)BreaklessBiker

Thanks a lot for the info. If you are doing it by yourself then you can use a funnel & tube to drain the oil in this case. Just that you will need to find a way to keep the funnel in position during the draining.
