The Good:
- Rear mono shock
- new(for india) design alloys
- Engine block & Transmission is (shared) from KTM
- upsized tyres and bigger 'Bybre' brakes
- Liquid cooled
- substantial power improvement form previous gen
- company 'claimed' mileage of 50-58 Kmpl
- KTM-inspired perimeter frame
- affordable Pricing on lower side of 1 lakh mark
The Bad:
- Design: radical?-yes!, edgy?-yes! but is is a trendsetter? No! (FZ introduced the naked-muscular-proportionate looks that is the std even now in India) The headlight, IMHO looks like a love child of FZ's and Discover's curved one. Also, the front view shows the disproportional headlight/tank.
- Bulky at 145Kgs for a Naked
- Reliablity 'doubts' associated with a 'new' platform
- The console of current gen looks much better than the new-gen console
- the 'Pulsar-as-a-Tourer' diminishes in every new gen: look at the Lesser capacity Tank, lower placed 'belly-exhaust', no wind-shield etc.,
Doubts: will the 2050 Pulsar feature DTS-i (Digital Ten Spark-Ignition)?
. On a serious note, will the performance/efficiency increase with every additional spark plug? Then why are mfg's round the world are not stuffing as many spark plugs they can??
I am disappointed that only one model and not the entire 2012 Pulsar lineup got unveiled today.
All said, I am very sure that the Pulsar was/is/and will be a VFM product that will seduce you with it's affordable power biking for masses!

what next?4 sparks??
