In theory "Fi" is supposed to give better fuel efficiency and crisp throttle response. But practically a well sorted carburetor also gives equally good fuel efficiency and rideability.

The main benefit for the manufacturer of "Fi" is to conform to strict emission norms.

Tangible benefit for the rider is hassle free cold starting with no need to warm the engine + hassle free riding experience at high altitudes (unlike carb which need to be recalibrated when the altitude changes).

This is a DHAMAKA from Bajaj. Seriously, my respect for Bajaj has gone up further. Now, only wish that they price it at 85-95 K on road at Delhi :P

If Bajaj manages to price P200NS at around 90-95K OTR, then I think competition will be left in dust.

+1...as said by him in his interview....they only want to focus on sport biking nor even automatic segment, for the reason that this leads to losing of focus

I have tears in my eyes . But seriously, I am happy at the way Indian brands are taking giant strides.

Mahindra XUV and now the Pulsar 200NS.. Chak De India..!!

I think that the TVS R&D is working over time for products like a new automatic transmission for future scooters and motorcycles (spoken about in a Press Release), Hybrid Scooter (Qube shown at the last few auto expos), Step Thus for Indonesia (they had launched a liquid cooled step thru called "Tormax" there)...

.. with R&D so busy, it would be difficult for them to focus on performance motorcycles. At least they need to be applauded for putting a economically priced ABS on the RTR 180.

I mean with mileage, power and looks pulsar 200NS, it is absolute steal, but to upgrade from p180 to p200.... :-/ doesn't seem that great option.
On the other hand duke 200 is proven, nastier, power n looks minus mileage...!!!

The question left is how refined is new triple spark engine !!!
Also I am a pulsar fan, or say more of bajaj flagship for the way they have revolutionised Indian market, so no yammies n hondas for me...kawasaki.ktm n NS... !!!

sorry BAL, but i took a vow not to purchase any bike with poor headlight.
Yes, the lights are bit disappointing in this overall KILLER package but hey man, just don't discard the bike only on this point It's still a ZABARDAST package.
