Cloudy or overcast or rainy condition drops ambient temperature, and this makes the Air dense and hence more Oxygen for the same volume of intake.Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View Post^^ In both stock as well as modified form, bike feels composed and seems to accelerate slightly more easily when its cloudy and overcast. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Sometime ago did 157Kph and on my daily commuting never got a chance to pass 140kays. I do dyno check at the rear wheel, also the dyno jet is quite primitive. It provides the values in KW and we got to convert it to BHP, but sure if its not very accurate coz I got 20.5 and 21.2 on two attempts. Hoping to be 24BHP at the crank approx.

1) i do not expect some customer to do the dyno run and put up results, i want the seller/modifier/tuner which is joel, to do dyno runs, and prove his claims.Originally posted by chinmayakar View Post@ Prince
Honestly speaking Prince no one likes the idea either. However, you also have to realize, you do not have too many options when it comes to Tuning/mods in India. If you are looking for someone to perform Dyno runs on Joels Mods and then put the results , then I do not think it will happen any time soon.
There could be many reasons for that, first, users like me will not spend extra time hunting for places where dyno runs happen, and even if I get one, will not spend a fortune to see what the dyno says. The Mods are keeping me happy and have met my expectations, so I dont care what the dyno says.
Second, Tuners may have their own reason of not performing dyno runs, (from what I understand its very expensive in India)
In the absence of that, the only option remaining is you do your research (go through various articles/posts/blogs), analyse the information that you get (you may not get equal number of yes, no & neutral users) and then ask yourself if you are ready to take the plunge. Because Mods will require investing time and money.
If you are waiting for a definitive answer, then I guess you will have to wait forever.
As for me, when I was looking to Tune my ride, I did the same thing, and finally got Joels number from 10Ten Racing, and took the plunge. I havent been disappointed.
However, I have noticed one thing though, dis-satisfied users are R15 owners, and those are the owners who think they know more about engines, bikes etc and probably try to tinker around...I don't see any such trend with 220/FZ users. I am constantly in touch with Mumbai Guys who have got their 220 Joeled, and they are happy with reliabilty of Joels Kits.
Having said this, I do have a suggestion for Joel. I think Joel should probably also provide Support (Paid Support ) to his clients, especially people like me who know very little, and have to depend on Service Centre to get servicing or other issues resolved. I think if Joel provides Sales & Support (Paid Support) all under one roof, this will be soothing to present users & future buyers. As the mechanics outside know very little and more often mess up the perfect setup that you get after getting the Mods.
Regarding the post that you are asking for, I did try to search that post, but could not find. It was a conversation in some Thread between Abhimanyu and Argee, where Abhimanyu was explaining him about how if someone does not like to do business with someone, he will not show interest in replying back.
Hope you got the answers, if not, then I guess I cant put it in anymore simpler way. However I tried my best though.
2) joel can not do it, coz it is costly is not a good argument, he is in a business, it is for his own benifit that if he is able to verify his claims. and the parts he sells are no cheap either. see, if i am into a business, say producing and selling helmets, and i do not get an ISI certification, i will loose business, i will loose customers, who will think that my helmet is not of good quality. will they listen to the argument that getting a certification is damn costly for me and i can not afford it.
3) while it may have suited you, others may not feel the same, it may be sufficient for you to read reviews and videos. see some like videos, some like dyno charts, others like a warranty. so what may be sufficeint for you may not be sufficient for others.
4) regarding the trend you have spotted, even i have observed this trend. see, there may be some ppl, who are around for quite some time, and it may be true, that they also have good knowledge, and it is these ppl, joel like to avoid answering and/or skips questions or takes the discussion to entirely different directions. these ppl, ask simple questions, like do you give warranty, do you have dyno results etc? now if you don't have, you can politely say, no, right now we don't have. instead when you reply by saying that even dyno results can be tweaked, and ...so on and so forth, it creates a doubt in our minds that something is fishy. obviously honesty may not be the best policy for everyone.
5) regarding that post, forget it, i never expected you to find it.
6) simple answers from my end.
its better we stop this, these kind of discussions usually go nowhere..

This discussion by some of you has been so long, so full of frustration, of hate, of disguised business promotion, of incapacity to understand the basics of the subject (the inherent risks of hot-rodding), of spirit of personal revenge, of contradictory information, of incapacity to take one's own responsibilities, of (highly suspectable) hidden facts an stories, that you have lost ALL credibility!
The here-above cries from baby Prince of the dark ages on the absence of dyno test just prove, if the need may be, the incapacity of his author to discern what are the real indications of performance, thinking in his limited mind that sacro-saint numbers of the always debatable dyno runs will prove" this and that blah blah!
The only "warranty" you guys will have is the despise from your fellow bikers of your miserable attitude! When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!

If I may be so bold so as to ask you, could you please let us lesser mortals know what should be the correct attitude towards modding a bike?Originally posted by Lucky Luke View PostThe only "warranty" you guys will have is the despise from your fellow bikers of your miserable attitude!Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

in the end, it boils down to this --->>
personal attacks and deliberately trying to take the discussion elsewhere, as i have mentioned in my above post-->>
1) i have no frustration or hate towards anybody.Originally posted by Lucky Luke View PostThis discussion by some of you has been so long, so full of frustration, of hate, of disguised business promotion, of incapacity to understand the basics of the subject (the inherent risks of hot-rodding), of spirit of personal revenge, of contradictory information, of incapacity to take one's own responsibilities, of (highly suspectable) hidden facts an stories, that you have lost ALL credibility!

2) i certainly do not have any disguised business promotion, i never purchased anything from joel, and i do not sell anything.
3) i do not have any personal revenge for anybody including joel.
4) i have never provided any contradictory information.
5) certainly no hidden facts or stories.
6) if you feel any of above is false, please quote my posts. speak facts only.
7) regarding incapacity to understand basics of the subject related to hot-rodding, we do understand that there are certain risks, what you do not understand is that joel claims that there is no risk in his modifications, and his modifications are as reliable as stock parts.
8) when somebody claims that his parts will increase performance by x amount and power by Y amount, will also increase mileage, and at the same time reliability is same as stock, we expect him to substantiate his claims by something more than just user reviews and videos. what is wrong in that. in reply what we get is posts like these.
9) what we ask are simple to the point questions, and what answers we get are these. what conclusion one can draw from these..??
9) posts like these are pure personal attacks, and i will advise you to refrain from repeating it. i have sufficient vocabulary knowledge to reply in a similar manner, but will refrain from doing it for obvious reasons. i will also not report this post to moderators, coz that may result in deleting a lot of posts and i want them to be here for everyone to see.
while you are a bike expert , and we are just fools, plz excuse us ...... and dare not repeat that personal attack again.
buddy, i hope you will understand, what ppl will feel, reading the kind of posts members post here (like the one above i have quoted.)Originally posted by chinmayakar View Post

And if you dont realise, Lucky Lukes post was not targeted only at you. It was a sort of summary what most of us feel going through the constant hate/frustrating/negative posts....Last edited by chinmayakar; 10-04-2012, 02:32 AM.

Bro, just ignore something if you dont like, those jumbled words from lucky.luke were well appreciated but sadly should have no impact at all. I can assure that most commentators here have not went through a real frustration and simply comment that frustration is vented on here
, to me real frustration was only when I was stranded without help.. which was due to my utter foolishness to add these these cheap aftermarket stuff and ruin a world-class automobile, which was worth much more than most ones on road. I really have no negative intentions on the seller, coz a seller will offcourse sugar coat and advertise his products, its my brain which got persuaded. After clearing all the mess, now I am a happy man. I just think about my bike only when visiting Fuel pumps. And just felt it should be appropriate to share my experience here and shocked to see several xbhpians and non-xbhpians have undergone the same negative experience, and THAT IS ALL. Same old funda, there wont be a single person to help you when you fall on road, but if you hit someone then there would be thousands coming from all hill-holes to grab your shirt.....

No, plz dont request anybody to delete anything. This thread should be preserved intact as an example of -how ppl react, when they run out of arguments and facts. Infact if any of the posts are deleted by moferators, it may imply that they are taking sides. So let it be as it is.
