I would like to add to one incident i have seen. In a public parking place where one guy decided to check out someones R15 parked in the area. He was not aware of it having alarm or even me, i was a few blocks behind waiting for my friend. This chap sat on the bike and started fiddling, the alarm went off, this guy freaked out and left the bike, and lo..the bike fell down.
Now what happened, the alarm freaked that guy and damaged the bike.

And the ticket incident, that's really really annoying. Damn, how can people be like this ?

Just because someone cant afford something or dont have something doesnt give them the right to play with others possessions.

I do wish to own a cbr250 or a ninja, but i do not try out the bikes when i see one parked in some place, though i do want to , i leave it alone, because its not right.

Now how hard is it to comprehend that ?

I have had some moron seal off my fuel tank key hole with fevi quick. Thankfully the glue didn't go all the way inside and only the top hole lid was stuck.

Actually these kinds of incidents must be quite common because that's why the manufacturers started providing magnetic key hole guards we now see on some scooters and bikes.

My Lancer car has many scratches and initials of morons who had left their mark...the same goes for my ZMA which carries initials and deliberate scratches made by such mindless people..I have learnt to live with it,because Morons and jealous idiots outnumber sensible people...and they are growing in numbers.

Oh man this thread is freaking me out!! Seems like I'm been lucky, just too lucky. The only scratches/dents etc on my/our bike/car/scooter is because of me/us (user/owner)
How come 'they' behave like that??
One thing's sure for me 'they' are not idiots (thread's is been wrongly named) THEY ARE PSYCHOPATHS!!
          Aargee sir was totally right.

I was looking for this thread to vent my frustration. The problem is that the assh**** do not care for their own bikes. There bikes are in pathetic state as and they do not care for there bikes so they do not think about others bikes. They do not know how much it pains to keep your bike like new and how much it pains to spent hours cleaning and polishing just to see it gleaming. But these psycho's on seeing the gleaming bike their hands start itching. While my bike is not vandalized by anyone till now in these 12 years but when someone sits on my bike i politely request them not to touch the tank.
But the problem is that when my joy was new my father was using it for four years after which i inherited it. While my father was using it my cousin brothers always took it from him to go to their village and do various works at there home. They completely manhandled the bike and cause many small scratches on the tank and the bike was not serviced for months. Moreover it was used like rickshaw in village roads to carry people and goods. No matter how much i requested my father but he didn't listened to me. The steel mudguards also got rusted and also the tank got rusted.
When i got the bike i spent a lot of amount in bringing it to new condition. At that time i was a student and it was very difficult to meet the expense. I would use to skip the lunch at college canteen and save the money to spend on my bike. Now it has become 8 years and i have not let them touch my bike.
@ravi- i feel what it pains when somebody else damages your bike for no faults of yours.

These guys always want to keep their nails at the shining parts,Even my friends do it,And when i tell them they'll get mad at me and tells its just a slingshot not a BMW and so..., Very Irritating, they don't know how many hours are wasted to wash, wax and keep it shining, Now i'm seriously thinking of covering tank with mat sticker.

Few days ago someone removed the dip stick and spark-plug cap of my friend's pulsar and filled it with sand. He had a very tough time to clean the engine.

I have heard of this filling fevi-quick into the keyhole from a person in my locality. I recently purchased a white Fazer.I hate people sitting on it as much as I used to hate idiots sitting on my previous Pulsar.Whenever I parked it at my friend's apartment's parking lot, random drivers would sit on it or fiddle with the switches.Once,I asked one driver who was sitting on my Pulsar,"Hey @*&!,does this look like a bench to u?" and he was smiling!
Hence,I generally don't take my Fazer to places where I can't keep an eye on it.It grabs a lot of attention and I use a cover of Suzuki Swift, and keep it pinned to the ground with a few stones.
Frankly,it took a lot of Gandhijis to buy this beauty and I can't let any lunatic screw up the paint, moreover, the paint being white! Only I know how much time it takes to keep it clean and gleaming.
I just can't take the risk.
My girl thinks I am crazy to cover it everywhere I go,but I would force her to check this thread and let her know that I am not the only one!

Well put man. That is the problem with lending bikes to non-immediate family members. Many of them think of bikes as tools similar to iron box or screw driver. Sad part is if they screw up your bike big time, you can do little about it since they are family and in India you know how families are.

BTW you did not mention what bike you ride. Care to share it ?

You can see my signature.I have a hero honda joy and a cbz extreme. The extreme i bought in sep 2011 but the joy is from 2001. I was talking about my joy. I love it so much that in-spite of my new extreme i like to ride it more. The bike has run for 3.1 lacs km and even after suffering so much abuse still ride and looks like new. It is also unique as a very few know and about it and still get glances at traffic stop after 12 years. I have maintained it like my baby and only a biker will know the feeling. When i got the joy in 2004 from my father i spent a lot in maintaining it and bringing back the factory performance and looks. You can see the photo in splendor thread.
Year 2004 was the last that my cousin got to touch the bike and till now i never give my bike to them. And regarding the extreme, no chance of giving them even a test drive. So that incident has left a deep impression on my mind and i do not lend both my bikes to anyone.

Sand ? Did he park the bike in an apartment ? Sounds like idiot kids.
The same thing happened with my friends splendor who also loves his bike like me and brought the bike the same day and same showroom from where i bought my Joy(8/07/2001). It happened and the engine seized. He was in tears but the company freely overhauled the engine as a goodwill gesture.

That is nothing. Other day I saw some bloke sit on someone's bike, use the mirror to see the inside of his nose and then touching the bike with his filthy mucus covered hands. Now if it was my bike...

This happened when my splendor was just a year old in 2005,
Someone dropped it in the parking lot and unfortunately there was a big stone on the ground. When my bike fell towards the right side on the stone it peeled off the tank sticker and caused a small dent on the tank.
My bike is like showroom condition except the scratches on tank.

                          (Morons)**n

I have heard that some lock designer has invented a lock that would deploy a hand cuff to the one who try to break it.. we need some solution like this.

Sand in spark, fevicol in key holes... if not by children these are serios crime, some one is trying to endanger your life.. thats how you need to file a case, if caught.

I have removed RVMs from my bike because of the nuisance caused by schmucks. Once there was a pack of cigars, purse and keys on kept on my bike seat and seeing me, there comes a middle aged lady collecting them and saying sorry, for someone like me who hates cigars it was bit disturbing. But reading the cases here, this is nothing.

                          Tips

                          1. Tip the security gaurd once you parked and ask him to keep an eye. (not possible in malls or the parking is too big and your vehicle is far from him)
                          2. Use a dirty cover or cloth on seat and tank to cover it.
                          3. Never put the bike on side stand, esp if your using an alarm (freaked out morons will jump out and bike will fall).
                          4. If you are using a helmet lock, then try to position it on the pillon seat.
                          5. Use easily atachable / detacable a 'Police' tag on number plates (my friend invented this, worked well for him)
                          6. If it is a open space, park it on sunlight than shadow. (your a** will burn bit when you r back... but will protect your bike from idiots parking their a** in your vehicles)
Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).

This even reminds me of someone being kind enough of leaving my karizmas rvm on the tank after breaking it.
Some weeks back I had to request two girls sitting on my cbr (side stand) and trying to make it upright, so their friend can click a pic. They politely got down, after me asking them the question if they would be able to make the bike straight in case if it leans down.
People are so kind these days..

                            +1 for the above tips..
I park away in the parking under sunlight. I love when theres rain water on my bike or the seat heats up in sun.

Only yesterday I had the same cigar problem. 2 blokes were sitting on my bike and having a smoke & a tea. I was like WTF does this look like a park bench to you ? One of them said some crap and the other quickly apologised and they left.
