Re: Bigger displacement engine.
Great useful thread this. went through all the posts, good information. I find Indian traffic laws to be abit silly and inconsistent.
I have a question here, getting challaned by Traffic Police unit for something illegal is Ok. But wat about being stopped by a random Patrol unit for something.. say a FFE exhaust. Just an an example. Now the Cop would first ask me to do the most obvious thing.. show papers and ur license.. then they would start blabering about the loud exhaust etc.. ask for a fine. but not cut a challan slip for it.. because he doesn't have it. Then I must not pay the fine. and I instantly must be free to go, my vehicle shouldn't be impounded either. because the random policeman didn't cut the Challan for the mentioned illegal FFE. What I mean is.. we only need to be aware of traffic policemen who cut challans and look out for bikers running with illegal stuff. other than that a normal PCR unit who can't cut challans can't do much if they stop me for a loud exhaust, HID or anything. I've got none of these in my stock NS btw, just looking for good knowledge.
A Hayabusa should totally be banned in India btw, Last night only a Busa went past in front of my house at midnight, I had my headphones covering my ears, but still it sounded so loud, my Dog freaked out and started inspecting here and there. It was that loud.. and awesome to me. May be it should be prcisely mentioned in Indian laws that only inline-4 cylinders can have oh so loud exhaust.. cos they sound awesome and music to our ears.. but single cylinders FFE aren't music to everone's ears, sound more like pat-pat-pat-pat, hence illegal xDD , How is US traffic law in terms of DB limit etc.Last edited by broken87; 08-27-2013, 08:24 AM.

Illegeal Mods
Now guys this one is hilarious, It was around 10:00 in greater noida and as the population isn't much the roads become deserted very fast.
So i was on my bike with my friend riding when we were stopped by cops for a check and they seised our bikes saying we had illegal mods in them.
My apache is fitted with a lightweight exhaust i had ordered from karolbagh and our other bike was fitted with a K&N filter along with tuning.
so were they correct or they were just hassling us for the money because i have bu\ill recipts of them and since they are being sold they should'nt be illegal
Review me guys

painting rim wont be an issue however if the main parts like front fairing/panels + tank etc are painted then RC needs to be re endorsed.
on a side note : why take a new bike and sticker it with other brands ??? suzuki itself is one amazing brand and why potray something that it is not.
and stickers or lambo ?? audi ??? or a motorcycle ?????? seriously ???"A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Modifications allowed on BIkes [as per Indian Law]
Interesting thread.
Coming to modification discussion, many of you guys maybe aware about current trend of getting the bike or car 'Wrapped'. A thin film of desired color is applied as per choice over a particular section of the vehicle or all over it. To my understanding, when a color change takes place (incase the owner changes frim blue to black or so), one needs to update the same in RC book thru legal procedure. But, from what I have come to know is that, wrapping doesn't change the color of the vehicl (as per the ones who do this job), so it is legal to ride or drive without updating the same in RC book.
Not sure how can a color change by getting the vehicle wrapped in different color be termed 'legal' when the RC book mentions something different when the actual color is different?
Can anybody shed some light on this or has anybody done a color change, but hasn't updated the same in the RC book and faced any trouble or so.
Cheerz!!The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Looks like multiple personality disorder. Please get ride of these "fake make up". You can get the alloys painted, get the rear panels wrapped. But stop torturing your ride. Let it have its own identity rather than "copying" others.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

as far as i remember. from ground level to 4 feet height if the car colour is changed it needs to be re- endoresed if above 4 feet then no.. so basically changing colour of your roof /pillars etc is ok but not the doors/hoods/rear etc...

sir not to offend you.... but gixxer itself is a beautiful looking motorcycle.Originally posted by Gkjipmer89 View PostMy gixxerrrrr..
i assume the desgin guys would have spent some time to make it that way.
also you have come to a community where its all bout motorcycles now if you expect someone to look at it and find it " nice" i doubt so. i twill only face critism.
on a side note : you will become cop magnet with all this sticker job.
chics definitely don't come by such stuff..
