Would OEM mods brought by KTM will confirm to same thought process as well? What about OEM sprocket kits, performance exhausts etc?

Actually, saying that K&N damages your engine will be misleading. The problem with K&N is that there are lot myth surrounding it. I did used K&N for about 10K Kms before I removed it. But I had never installed it for performance, but specifically for riding in Ladakh (above 10,000ft msl). Lot of issues pertaining to K&N are due to how they are installed, and what their buyer expect them from, but that's altogether a different story for another thread.
yes the k&n part is very controversial... Actually i told k&n harms the engine because most people dont upjet and ending up running lean and damaging the engine.. Then k&n needs washing and oiling but i haven't come across a single person who does that...
Anyways keep us updated about hid and console... Actually if i get a red bike i'll change meter to red and will change to blue if a get a blue one... Btw will a 55w hid run all day without battery draining even in low rpm....

according to me a modded bike is a sign of an unsatisfied owner..performance mods can only harm the bike in every possible way.

Well , I prefer only those mods that do not harm the bike a lot...like better tyres...weight reduction...K&N filters...etc etc

And i dont consider tyres as performance mods...its for my own safety... Next in line would be stiffer clutch springs which also increases the wheel horse power... Modding a ride is immense fun...the fun of whopping the @$$es of bigger bikes with smaller bikes is immense... Which is more fun to you and insulting to your opponent.....Smoking a cbr250 witht duke or smoking a cbr250 with a 200ns..?(just an example) then the cbr guy with curse himself after reaching home its fun to watch small bikes taking on big bikes...
P.S. My friends modded apache rtr160 can eat a 220 for dinner till 90... and its just with a local (underbelly) exhaust... Anyone interested in pics? I can post it

k&n will reduce performance and mileage at the same time .. its just the sound that will give you a feeling that it is going fast , but actually the performance would have dropped..i have seen an avenger220's engine getting seized just four days after getting k&n on it..
i only consider weight loss as the best performance mod ..

@Rahulbarik - Yesterday I was chatting with @rahuldevnath for the 55w HID mod. But I guesswill do those only if the stock seems to be insufficient. NS comes with 55w bulbs..

Stock Horns are really poor, and many have already added an xrtra horn.
I too like the MEtallic levers of RTR. In fact I painted my P150's levers into that kind of Metallic colour.
you painted you levers to silver? and i used a sand paper and rubbed it so hard on the levers that the paint chipped off and lever turned silver... Wana change horn? I will change.. I have a set of scary bmw type horn with me scares the hell out of everyone... Next will be a 55w hid

no bro just being frank... K&n will reduce mileage, hard the engine badly while letting in lot of dirt and performance gain wil not be justified... There is no need for k&n if the engine is kept stock even if you go for free flow and other stuffs... K&n is only needed if you increase your engine displacement by using bigbore blocks...so that you can pump in more air and then upjet the carb... A rule of thumb is mileage drop of more or less 5 kmpl with k&n... Well you can always opt for joel's free flow exhausts...they are one helluva product... I myself will opt for a free flow after i get my bike and joel makes an exhaust...
Btw mee too looking for handle mods...frankly speaking its one of the major thing which makes me think wheather to opt for this bike or not... I will plan a handle mod first and then buy... And as far as warranty is concerned my nearby svc is quite frank with this...they dont mind mods. And handlebar is a minor mod... well i can suggest you a small mod which even i will perform...and it could be free of cost if you could find a bakra... Try fooling a 220 dts-i owner and exchange your front disc hose pipe with him... its a steel braided line on the 220 will improve solid braking and feedback btw i have already found a guy with a 220 who agreed to exchange his hose pipe and alloys with ns also change brake oil to dot 5... Do small but effective mods... I have other mods in mind too...all exchange stuffs but thats secret for now... Wana make my bike look and feel the way i want it to be
