The problems I See -
1) it might get stuck on the tank while Turning
2) Rider have to reach more to the handle, Which in-turn might give a more Sporty stance..
3) How easy will it be changing a 3 piece one to a Straight one??

Not just you but even I find the Karizma lighter to push around than the P220 even though both are around 150 kgs.. it's probably something with the weight distribution/center of gravity of the bikes and the way they are designed. The 200 Duke, Karizma and even the Discover 125 ST has got a light front end.. which makes them feel lighter while pushing around. On riding both the Karizma and Discover 125 ST feel errily similar around corners with similar kind of oversteer.

Pushing the P220 feels like pushing a really heavy bike.. even the P200NS feels bit heavy at stationary. But once when astride on the P200NS, the weight of the bike seems perfectly balanced and the front end feels lighter than the P220 (when sitting astride on the bike). And on being ridden, the weight simply dissappears on the P200NS.


Even I mean the rider footpegs which are "rear set". If still confused, you can google about what rearset footpegs mean. Riding position/stance (arms-seat-footpeg relationship) on the P180 UGIV (current) and the P200NS is very different which anyone can easily make out (irrespective of long or short limbs).

Asthetics aside, it would have been simpler, cheaper and probably lighter to fabricate a handlebar out ot a single rod than a 3 piece one.

Bro with no offence I haven't spoken about rear set footpegs..I talked about the rider footpegs only...and it was my complete own feeling....both 180 and NS seemed almost equal to me...may be I have got long legs and arms....
About riding can't comment now will see after I get a ride....
but one thing is sure this Pulsar is gonna rock.....will be nimbler than other and may be comfort level also...

the vibes which i reported was the same reported by another xbhpian when we took both our bikes for first service .. he was also bugged by it .. after the service it was much better in his ns as the plastic parts were given some sort of rubber padding or bolted on firmly ..
the test ride bike which i rode was more like a mobile massage parlour ..it was not exaggerated .. they had to properly check the bike before giving it for a test ride .. the test ride bike was taken out from the stock yard and directly given for test rides..it has single digit on its odo ..

how can you think of a bmw kind of handle on a mass market bajaj bike ..i told about having a single piece wide handle just cuz its cheap and best ..
i do accept that duke is having oversteering capability but that is what makes it more fun..people buy M3 , M1 and M5 just for their oversteering capabilities .. people prefer 2wheel drive ferraris over big 4wheel drive lambos just because they get better oversteer..
all superbikes can oversteer without traction control on ..
some of the non dukes which i like in india as a mass market bike - r15 , fz , unicorn
my examples seem exaggerated cuz i have grown up watching clarkson,hammond and may ....

Hahahaha same feeling about pants... i was unable to put my feet down with a tight jeans though i never had much problem in duke duke's front is feather light...duke is very good for some @$$ shaking belly dance moves even i felt the weight of the bike yesterday when i pulled it up from side stand... People may laugh but i find the karizma quite light inspite of it being 150kg... God knows why...but i find pulsars heavy...

The BMW K13000R is as bad @$$ a street fighter you'll get, comes with "Triple Piece" alloy handle bars.

True Clips ons are actually two piece units that bolt on directly to the front forks. Time to wake up: All desi bikes with so called "Clip ons" are basically triple piece handlebars (inlcluing the R15, Ninja 250R, CBR250R etc.). Some set lower and some higher.

Pants.. Yeah right

More than the "pants", its difficult for guys with short legs to reach the ground without curving their legs. But there is no two opinion that the seats (both rider and pillion) are ultra comfortable.

The 200 Duke actually has a slight tendency to "oversteer". The Pulsar 200NS is more neutral and stable and yes "flickable" (doesn't matter how you exaggerate) .

When I sat on the Bike, the Hand's position kind of felt commuter-ish, because of the raised up handle-bars. However, the foot-pegs are placed in quite an Aggressive position.
Single wide handle bars wud have looked great.

Buddy, every one went after the vibes issue which was mentioned by you, coz, you kinda exaggerated the point too much. As far as I remember, u vouched that the vibes were more than any RTR
Although few other owners have mentioned about the vibes, those were never as huge as u portrayed..



@all Yesterday gave me the opportunity to see the NS (my would be) for the first time. went with @ Toxic_biker. My First impression is soon to be followed.

i liked the riding position of ns but it would have been better if the rider foot pegs very pushed further back .. i didnt like the clip-ons .. they look deep and out of place .. street fighters must have single piece wide handle bar ..
rider seat should have been less wide .. it pulls up the pants whenever we place our feet on the ground ..
and come on ,, it is not as nimble as the rtr , fz or duke .. it definitely shows its weight..wider handle would have made steering it easier..it is just nimble compared to other pulsars .. p220 only wants to go straight and will run wide and feel like taming a dog while cornering ,, so naturally ns will be more than satisfying for people who have been riding 220 ..

Nope not even close. The P180 (latest one) doesn't have equally rear set footpegs as the 200NS. Also one needs to lean more on the P180 while on the P200NS the posture is relatively upright. The riding position on the P200NS is unique when compared to the older Pulsars.

Many including me have taken ride of the 200NS and also the 200 Duke. The 200NS does initially feel slightly heavy when pushed around. But once on the saddle, the weight seems perfectly balanced.. and be ready to be amazed at the nimble handling when it starts rolling on the road.

Though entirely my personal feeling...it felt like 180, the new version

Thats what I am waiting for....but as per my riding experience goes and physics says...it should show its weight on the curves...but anyway lets see....
