    Remember when i said that my bike's engine was rebuild, i had examined the filter box and filter before that, there was more oil than what would pass off as normal , as while cleaning or putting a new filter we do apply small dabs of oil on the filter to enhance the filtering a bit na, but that's trace amount, when i checked mine the filter box was wet, not too wet, but wet enough, checked it and was oil, then went in for the inspection, due to the improper seating of valves the oil blow by problem made the oil to reach there till the box,

    Now i may be wrong though, but i then had the valves seated, new rings and all set up and never had that issue after the rebuild.

    Note: mine was a stock block, just that it had been running lean for very long time , courtesy the RC ffe and me not rejetting it and the bike had run over 65k :-P at that time..

    That we are talking about extreme condition right ? this might be a not so big leak or blow-by due to the busted rings ?? So the filter might be just getting wet, the foam filter of the pulsars can take quite a bit of liquid before dripping and eventually clogging the carb. BTW, lets wait for him to check the filter and filter box and revert back. Then we can have a clearer picture right.

    I guess so... We recently opened a friend's splendor with a busted engine. There were no trace of any oil seals in the engine... The secondary air injector, carburetor, air filter...everything was flooded with oil... In his case the oil.travelled through the secondary injector to the filter box and then flooded the carb through there... Not sure if its possible to flood the filter box with clogging the carb pathways first..

    I was thinking like trace amounts, upon repeated cycles the oil will get accumulated in the filter and filter box wouldn't it ?

    Mate, don't take the oil disappearing as a normal thing, especially in the amount you have specified, clearly there is something wrong, Have you checked the air filter ? is it soaked in oil ? check the filter box too.

    If the filter is soaked in oil then the carb would flood with oil as well reducing responce.. Correct?

    Hahhaha. But apart f4on the oil prob the bike is really aggressive, improved mileage and a lot smoother ride than stock. I am completely satisfied with the setup, hope this oil leakage problem gets solved soon..

    Yea am using FS oil. My next oil change, ill change it if u say, dont have a prob. Done 3000 with this oil.

    When is your next oil change due? After you put in new oil and warm the engine, rev it to max and see if smoke is coming.. If you are using synth oils it wont work though as synth oils give very little smoke.

    Check compression with a comp.guage.. Another desi way is in neutral pin the throttle. If you see hint of white smoke coming from the exhaust and there is oily resedue on the exhaust then you have busted rings and/or busted valve oil seals.
