    fastest pulsar eh?!
    say....is it the new 200?
coz when the 220 was first shown at the auto expo, there was no 200 shown(as to my knowledge) but then before the 220 comes the 200
    so.....a 200 faster than a 220 and a 220 faster than itself.....?

Seriously the R15 has done ONE BIG GOOD thing in Indian biking scenario... (read Syns hard torque again if you disagree), all I/we want is others to atleast COPY it, if not create something new!
I've read everything Synner has written and I agree to the T. I dont ever doubt Yamaha has brought in a sea change in biking landscape in India. Bajaj is less radical than Yamaha of course, but my point is they are doing what they can do get the biking scene forward !!

Indian biking scene needs more of Yamaha and TVS and Bajaj !!

    @Sukant : Yes , Absolutely true.

@Satyen :Bajaj is still climbing up the ladder. U cant expect a bike like R15 from Bajaj. They lack the "Experience" which Honda/Yamaha have. They are still learning from their mistakes and improving their products in every upgrade.

And the second part is what I have always been wanting to lay enphasis on. Its about time companies lay more emphasis on cycle parts !! Better swing arms, monoshock, grippier tyres etc etc.

Which is where YOU, the discerning buyer comes into picture my friend. Bombard Bajaj with ideas and suggestions and even threats.
But all said and done I'd think Bajaj is still more proactive than Hero Honda and a certain Royal Enfield !!

But try and understand, that just adding .6 and 1 bhp increments won't do. What you said about the monoshock is absolutely true.

So a mock carbon-fibre exhaust would make more sense or a monoshock?

    Point well made.

But try and understand, that just adding .6 and 1 bhp increments won't do. What you said about the monoshock is absolutely true. Now the Indian mindset is changing and the R(evolution)15 deserves the credit. It has made people actually 'see' the difference. I'll tell you, a lot of people in my housing actually notice some wee bits in my bike that make it a sportbike. They do an actual comparison and are amazed by how far back the footpegs are, and the absence of two shock absorbers and a hidden monoshock, lending a clean look to the rear, the clip on handlebars being bolted directly on the fork top, etc. So generally there is an acceptance of these bits even in the eyes of a middle class buyer.

So a mock carbon-fibre exhaust would make more sense or a monoshock? All I mean is OEMs should start getting trick bits on their flagship bikes, to actually 'popularise' them, make people realize one shock is actually better than 2 and slowly change the face of motorcycling. Remember how alloys became a hit? Now every teensy bike in India sports alloys, while a few years back they came at a premium....

Damn if these guys play the +1 (ps/bhp... whatever...) game it could take ages till we actually get a real 'bike' (read: atleast a twin-cylinder) in India!

Cut the crap. Where is the damn Ninja?
21 bhp from a 220cc single will be a good thing I'd say. Price is important in India and Bajaj is bringing affordable performance biking to India and thats a good thing. U get a 130kmph bike for 90K whereas a 1.6k Comet has only 10kmph more of speed !!

I'd really like to see how many pple hu r crying for the Ninja, actually buy it!! And either ways, Ninja has one place and P220 has another !!

If only they started bringing monoshock to Indian bikes. Like disk brakes 4 -5 years back, I'd think monoshock is an idea whose time has come !!

Cool.. Coming straight from the mouth of the man who created the Pulsar.. after June I see quite a lot of Speed Checks by xBhp'ians.

    Bring it on Mr. Bajaj
