hi, i met someone yesterday who was working with yamaha earlier. he told me that they are planning to launch a 350cc bike, the r6 and the r125 by sept - oct. I wonder how much that is true. He also told me that a carb twin spark 350 enfield classic will be out by nov.-dec.

We are 13000 odd guys in the whole of India out of a billion guys /gals discussing the next strategy for these MNCs who would obviously be looking at returns.
    So lets face it.
The biker in us wants all the exotics launched.Atleast we have the speculation thread to make us happy.

Iam not being negative, but just realistically thinking...
MNCs actually do some research on the "market" before strategizing products. I have no doubt one of their research guinea pigs are 13000 of us (aka xBhp).

So I guess people who are still thinking of Ninja250 at a price point of close 2lakh can go to sleep for another 4-5years.
Even I think so. Even if Bajaj utilize CKD and FTA routes, prices most likely will be higher than price in Thailand which is ~ 2.5L showroom. IF it comes, of course.

Its close to one and half year since Ninja was showcased in Auto Expo but I never looked beyond anything other than what has been posted on xBhp.Got some free time this Sunday and thought of doing some Ninja reserch and here is what I have found.I think many a people would definitely know this.Ninja 250 costs 3299GBP.At 76.24rup per gbp it will make the cost of Ninja 250R some 2,51,515rupees.

Then I had a look at some of the other motorcycles which are already here like R1,CBR and CB1000R.Now take the example of CB100R.It costs 6950GBP.On conversion it becomes 529868rupees and in India it costs Rs10.5lakh.I guess people are intelligent enough to do the similar calculation for Ninja.

So I guess people who are still thinking of Ninja250 at a price point of close 2lakh can go to sleep for another 4-5years.

I'm in love with that GIVI tail bag.Anyone going abroad?

It looked like Stunner or they said that it will look like Stunner?
This is where the Country of sourcing and the form of sourcing the bike kicks in. In a CKD form the bike import would be cheaper, and also if it comes via a FTA country then it will only become cheaper! Which is why everybody speculated it coming from Thai!

There was a bike shown during the launch, it looked very similar to Stunner infact the same but for the colour schemes. it was more of Silver Back combo like in Fireblade! They didnt call it the new bike though.

@MG_Biker1806: You forgot about the FTA India has with Thailand. Bajaj is going to utilize that.
Personally, I feel that if it does make it here, it will cost around 2.6 lakhs OTR.
Reason: Cost of vehicle in Thailand baht converted to rupees is exactly 2 lakhs. Not that Bajaj will be getting it at that price, it will be only at the manufacturing cost for them. I am adding 20% (Bajaj's profit margin), to it to get 2.4 lakhs showroom price. Over that the road taxes etc.adding up to the OTR of 2.6 lakhs.
    Just my speculation!
