the problems with these speculation threads is that they make you look forward to so much of stuff, only to leave you finally disappointed.
ya,abt the cbr150, one of the honda officials in hyd said that it would be a 150cc stunner...may be it might be like the 150 sports concept we saw in the earlier in the motor show... also it would be here in the next 2~3 months...

"Advice" the source to stop speculations?
Jokes apart, I would like the source too, if any ...

We are 13000 odd guys in the whole of India out of a billion guys /gals discussing the next strategy for these MNCs who would obviously be looking at returns.
    So lets face it.
Dasco, not only are we less, but we are divided too, in terms of intrests ...

I mean, Can we 13000 guys agree on a particular bike??

No, we are spoilt kids, someone needs a 250-400cc, someone needs R6, other needs FZ6, someone else wants a FZ1 and so on ... and won't settle for anything else!

So, despite our common passion, our diversity has ruined this real-performance bikes' market...

anyways, i was at the probiking place today. new 200 to be out on june 10'th according to the guy there.

    I do doubt it.
Honda has announced that they want to enter the 100cc economy segment. There are news that even this 100cc bike is to takeover HH dominance. May even share common parts.
They will be closely working on that.

You know guys with the R15 and FZ, Yamaha had no other choice. They had to get back to what they are best, ie, performance biking after their dismal life in india..but not so for Honda..they are making money (activa) and would want to continue doing that considering the back lash of demand slow down in major developed markets globally.

Same for Suzuki, why did they bring in a commuter 150cc bike and not a high performance package like the R15? They too thought it is better to make money now.Access is doing ok, so what is the hurry.

So are we going to see a drought of performance bikes in India for the time being?
Kawazaki with Ninja, nothing to comment man.God knows what the Japs there are upto.
More from Yamaha, maybe cause they have nothing else to do now other than try to capture the performance end of the India market.

Its again the same thing guys, out of 100 people in India, 75 of them still buy commuting bikes.

The biker in us wants all the exotics launched.Atleast we have the speculation thread to make us happy.

Iam not being negative, but just realistically thinking.

    P220 upgrade..well, maybe before diwali....coz of Ninja..
    ninja..maybe
something from yamaha..this faired FZ should be before diwali since road tests are going on..so maybe something more from Yam...
upgraded Zma from HH....with power boosters.
    something from kinetic..comet?
    something from honda.
hey guys it will be a year since FZ and more than a year since R15..nobody has done anything...are the competition that far behind?
or they have other priorities like scooter, milage etc..for the mass market in their heads. They may not look into performance oriented bikes really seriously.

i agree, since honda is concentrating on a 100cc and also bajaj wants to re-enter the 100cc segment, i doubt whether there will be any new performance machines available. by the way, i called up the pro-biking showroom in gurgaon and they said that the new 220 will be out by 15th june or so, whereas the delhi pro-biking showroom has no clue about it. The pro-biking guys are the greatest speculators and news creaters here

    Expected Bikes in 2009....

    Honda CBR150R

After successfully accepted in Malaysian market. It is speculated that Honda may bring its CBR 150R in India by 2009 in competition with Karizma & R15 competitor and may price of CBR150 will be below one lakh.

The Honda CBR150R is powered by a 149.4cc 4-stroke carburetted single cylinder 4 valve DOHC engine with 11.0:1 compression and CDI ignition, mated to a 6-speed wet clutch manual transmission. It produces 18.5 Bhp at 10500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of torque at 8500 rpm.

    Main Features of Honda CBR150R:

    - DOHV 4-valve 150 cc water-cooled engine with balancer shaft.
    - 6-speed return manual transmission.
    - Front and rear disc brakes.
    - Key slot cover for better protection against theft.
    - Monoshock rear shock absorber.
    - Secondary Air Supply System (SASS) which delivers extra air to the exhaust system for cleaner emission.
    - Catalytic Converter.

    Expected In : June, 2009

    Yamaha R6
What you will feel when you on Yamaha's new R6 a quick progress, not rapid, beneath 70 mph in top, however erst over the legal limit insignificant six takes off as if a scolded cat without so a lot of as a down shift. Drop to moment at this speed and you will find yourself looking at the sky as everything disappears behind you at an alarming rate and it will be interesting to see what the six will do in the quarter mile.

    ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS
    Displacement: 599cc
    Engine: 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, 16-valves, D0HC
    Maximum Power: 127 Bhp @ 14500 rpm
    Maximum Torque: 65.8 Nm @ 11000 rpm
    Gears: 6 Manual

    DIMENSIONS
    Length: 2040.00 mm
    Width: 705.00 mm
    Height: 1100.00 mm
    Weight: 185.00 kg
    Ground Clearance: 130.00 mm
    Fuel Tank: 17.30 ltrs
    Wheelbase: 1380.00 mm

    Expected In : June, 2009

Honda InterceptorExpected In : June, 2009

    Suzuki GSX-R 1000

Suzuki GSX-R 1000 offers something different when compare to other bike in same segment amongst the usual selling points of superb handling, class leading performance it offers switchable ECU maps.

With switchable ECU fuel mapping you can switch to low performance for easy handling in traffic, fuel economy and when riding with cruisers, medium for faster rides with the 600cc and full power for the track and Hayabusa owners.

The engine produces a claimed 136Kw from 999cc production motorbike sure torque is claimed a mere 120Nm but the bike weighs in at 172Kgs. The age of ever less weight equals greater performance and handling is over I think. There comes a point where MORE weight equals even greater performance and handling. And about time some one was brave enough to do it.

The next thing ypu will notice about the inclusion of dual exhaust pipes! as always 2 pipes are better than one in terms of looks. Just like big rear tyres just look better than skinny ones.

    Expected In : June, 2009

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14Expected In : November, 2009
