Adding 20+20+20+..........+20 c.c's to P220 to reach 350 will take atleast a dozen years for BAL

Today my friend who is very highly placed I really don't know where called me to say that the bookings for a Suzuki 250cc twin is just about to begin... very soon!

And another friend said that Bajaj is secretly working on a 400cc twin.

And yet another friend sent me an SMS saying that Yamaha is working on a single cylinder 600cc exclusively for India! I reckon with about 45 odd Bhp.

Very soon we will have all these bikes on the road. Which one are you gonna buy?

I'll buy 350cc Pulsar!

@sukant08: Suzuki had announced CKD 200-500ccs last year, but then they scrapped the plan&took the CBU flagship route. They don't have any other plans as of now too. So, there is no 250cc in the offing other than Ninja. Unless Comet is brought back (this time hopefully in a fully faired avatar)
But why are you behind another 250 when you already have an Aquila?

Because after riding a cruiser (albeit a bloody fast one) for a year, I am itching for a sports bike now !!
But I'd want to have the sports bike along with the Aquila tho !!

P.S: I kno what u mean, but I honestly feel there is a sustainable market for a 250 in India and it'd only get better and better as days pass !!

We all think the way you do. At least, I definitely do. I totally agree. With everything that you had to say there.

And oh... btw; what I said above, other than the Zuki bit, the rest are grapevines that I passed on... so there is hope still, like the 600 Bullet that was developed but we never got to see!

honestly right now I'll buy the best legal and firsthand sports bike i cna get in India for 2.5-3 lakhs !! And I'm pretty sure thr are many pple hu'd invest in a good set of wheels as per their budget !!

Also dare I say, cynicism isnt the way to look at it Kan da. I mean I'd still rejoice if these bikes do come to India even if I am never being able to afford them. Because it means someting for India as a market. It means something for a preception of maturity in the Indian market scene.

Just like I rejoiced when India won the 20-20 world cup, even tho it didnt change anything in my life.
Like I rejoiced when R1 was launched in India, even tho I'll not afford her for some time !!
Like when Denise Richards came to India, even tho I'll never ....... ok leave that !!

That is bad speculation. That will never come! The rest of them are all lined up... well almost... My friends are very "reliable".
