Expect an *Update* from Yamaha in a 250 series.... sadly it wont be in the R series, but will be a pricey one in the FZ League....

IMO Yamaha has shot themselves in foot, they cannot go too flamboyant now as they need to be very carefull of not killing the R15

Dude hold your horses !! A yamaha 250 is still some time away. Yamaha and Suzuki have just announced that there is a 250 twin in their scheme of things. Of course this is for international markets specificall. And the grapevine (somewhere on MCN forum) has it that the Yam 250 will be a part of 2010 lineup.

I guess FZ250 is a pretty old bike thats being sold in Brazil and some other developing markets since some time now. Its a fairly contemporary naked bike with regular chassis, analogue meters and a single cylinder air cooled 21 bhp motor. Although that'd be a good competitor to P220, ZMA lot engine wise, it'd lose out to P220 at component levels.

And that cannot hold any kind of candle to Ninja anyway.

Can someone please give me some concrete info about the Ninja 250? I have decided that I'm gonna buy it.
Hope they don't price it above 2.5lakhs-the dollar price today is at an all-time high of 52!
