yeah,it is published by Bike India.
It looks probable rather than speculation bcoz Suzuki want this bike to compete with the VFR800 in the Indian market.
GSX750R would be the best bike for Indian roads. It would have manageable power, superb handling and razor sharp. It would be a better choice than the Busa or the GSX1000R.It is both a supersports and a superbike.Best of both worlds at confident power delivery.Hell's Angel

Anything concrete has become terribly fluid in recent weeks/months. The Ninja was all set to roll, albeit a trifle too late and I feel that they suddenly developped cold feet what with the slowdown happening and the biggest sector being hit is the automotive sector. Hence this apparent delay and maybe cancellation or/and a lot of talk.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostAll I can afford is a 250 as of now. Having a tough time trying to convince my parents why one person should own 3 bikes!
So, any news about Ninja 250/Yamaha 250 (if anything concrete comes up) is most welcome!
Dissing your visit to McD and your burgers gives me as much pleasure as visiting this thread. Good to see that you are breathing better these days.Originally posted by Synn View PostHey, I thought you had tremendous fun dissing my burgers today!

This I will answer last.Originally posted by pulsar_flame View Post@ken can u tell us how will the fz1 fell because it is under 10 lakhs so atleast we can dream of owening as u know lot about u can share about the bike here...how will it be on roads and will it be easy to ride in our city cond ? and one more thing i would like to ask is that will the bike be nake or faired one ?
From my ride of the Fz1, it is one HELLUVA ride. My take is, if you wanna buy a good powerful bike with lots of low end power, for street and a lot of strain-free touring with enough power not to be overwhelmed by the likes of over-zealous Scorpio owners who want to swipe you off the road coz you own a "show-off" bike, close your eyes and buy this machine. The one I test rode had a K&N job done with full exhaust system which meant that it had 165+ Bhp. But despite that, I felt that it is one very good machine for Indian roads, comfortable, non-aggressive, quite ergonomic, seating posture like the p220 (almost identical really) and a lot of fun. But I still feel that I need a fairing. Especially for cruising at higher speeds, for me as well as for the pillion. A comfortable biker is a happy biker, especially if you are touring long distance. The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

FZ1 for India
source:-bike India
The FZ1 might make it to India by this year end and at an extremely competitive price
Yamaha commenced the big bike era in India with the launch of the YZF-R1 and the MT-01 last year. Suzuki, Ducati and Honda have also joined the bandwagon in recent times. With more and more multi-cylinder, high capacity bikes coming into the country, the competition has started to heat up. However, sustaining this contest is going to be tough for manufacturers since there are very few potential buyers for premium bikes in India.
We hear that Yamaha have some interesting plans to tackle this situation. Our sources tell us that the company has sent the FZ1 for homologation in India. We also hear that the Semi-Knocked Down kit or the SKD route is being considered for the bike. This will put the FZ1 in a much lesser price bracket - less than even the Honda CB1000R which is the cheapest imported litre-class bike currently available here.
The FZ1 is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled engine producing a maximum power of 150PS at 11000rpm. The bike will either sport a quarter fairing or will be a completely naked one. This Yamaha can prove to be the perfect option for the city as well as for those long Sunday morning rides. With the FZ1 entering the market and at a much affordable price, the war of the Japs is definitely going to be a level higher now.

What about FZ1 Fazer
Exactly my thought Kenda! The news (or rather the probable news) of FZ1 in a couple of blogs and bikeindia portal, didnt uplift my emotions very high, not because of financial constraints , but i have so very much started liking the FZ1 Fazer. The fairing cum windscreen gives it such a nice modicum of purpose and presence. I sincerely hope, IYM launch the Fzer FZ1 too.Originally posted by ken cool View Post

CKD's and SKD's : As far as I know , if you import a CKD/SKD , then you are required to have an assembly line here or some officially certified place where they are assembled. That could be the reason wh we are just getting the CBU's.
Can anyone confirm this?sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Economically not feasible. This is not speculation.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostWell I think Suzuki would manufacture them in India !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lolz, well anything goes......[:-D]
Economics again my dear! This is not speculation either.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostCKD's and SKD's : As far as I know , if you import a CKD/SKD , then you are required to have an assembly line here or some officially certified place where they are assembled. That could be the reason wh we are just getting the CBU's.

No. The Fz1 heating was nowhere close to the heating "problems" of "R" bikes. In fact the heat dissipates pretty easily. One cannot even compare the two actually; not just heat wise, but there are a host of factors; posture, comfort, low-end power/torque, ease of pillion, manoeuverability in turning radius, etc... etc...Originally posted by bprags View PostKenda how abt the heating problems that a rider has with R1, is it the same? The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!
