@darkknight: I also heard from some Yam guys that if a 250 is launched, it would be on the lines of FZ.

I saw&read the pic (I know Japanese) of the R4 250. It is written that it is the scoop of a model Yamaha is working on for Europe.
Going by the Googled results of this R4, the pics are surely photoshopped with bits of R1 (dual huge discs)&R6. Others online also feel the same.
However, the Japan mag pic seems to be more possible, as the disc is acceptable for a 250. There was some speculation that it will be a single cylinder, R4 can also mean 400&so on.
We need to wait&watch till they launch it Europe, then see whether it is India bound or not. All this will take till 2011 atleast!

correct.but i was referring only to a 250 cc not r series.

Yeah, I'm laying my bets only on the Ninja 250 as of now. Thats the max I can afford too!

Yesterday I met Honda dealer in my city and asked him about new launches, he said a 250cc is on the way but no exact launch date he had.

Well I dont think Honda will give 250cc so easily, it will be a Stunner (aka CBF150) of Unicorn as far as I know Honda.

Now that it is confirmed that Ninja 250 is coming out by this year mid: Yamaha officials tell me that the inside news is that they are working on a 250cc bike, R series, but no details about world/India launch.
So, should I wait for Yamaha 250 R series or go ahead with Ninja 250R? If waiting is decided on, wait till when?

How do you know its confirmed?

guys what if Kawasaki ditches bajaj and decides to come on its own to India..like other Jap bike makers??? is this causing Ninja delay in launch...

that'd be a good choice for me & for Indian roads... also, due to lack of equipment it can be sold at about FZ 16's price point...

again, it would not come to India as it won't sell many numbers... due to lack of equipment!!!

go to the yamaha europe website and look at the WR250R..its a trail bike but the 250cc engine is the interesting part. The specs look about par on the Ninja 250R. I think yamaha may be planning a YZF-R25 with this engine..

New ZMA to hit !

Guys,

I am planning to get a zma soon. Went to a dealer in Delhi (JK enterprises), and surprise-2!! No zma's there I asked the owner and got the following reply:-

"The booking for zma R is closed, as new zma is arriving in 2-3 days" and i was like

Next, what would the new zma have? I asked curiously and exited to hear FI, rear disc brakes and projectors
BUT THE REPLY- "It will be a new stickered version, like the R version came after zma." Hearing this, i was like
He said he will inform me ASAP the bike arrives in the showroom.

Went to another showroom, who has no idea about new zma! they has the R in stock, with ready delivery.

I guess its a wait and watch game! Will keep you guys updated, if i get any call from the dealer tomorrow!
