^^ Heh heh heh .. Deja Vu eh !!
This thread basically rotates between having some posts about ZMA FI, then a few posts breaking head about Ninja 250, then a few posts breaking head about the Honda 150, then a few posts lamenting the delay in upgraded pulsars, then few posts about the new 250 from Yamaha and then the viscious cycle continues !!
Being a biking enthuastic in India is painful !!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!

eagerly awaiting the newly stickered ZMA
SPY-Pics of Purple Hunk
after Pink ZMA now HH is thinking about a Purple-pink HUNK .
It will have an additional mirror on visor so girls can checkout their make-up without stopping . It will also boast of a Pink disk for added safety feature .
The name is not decided as they cant name it hunk {maybe HH Babe
}

Thanks for the info.Watchout for CRF230 variants if you are looking for new ZMA.Bcoz the engine is always from CRF and not newly developed for ZMA.Originally posted by wings_of_fury View PostGuys,
I am planning to get a zma soon. Went to a dealer in Delhi (JK enterprises), and surprise-2!! No zma's there
I asked the owner and got the following reply:-
"The booking for zma R is closed, as new zma is arriving in 2-3 days" and i was like
Next, what would the new zma have? I asked curiously and exited to hear FI, rear disc brakes and projectors
BUT THE REPLY- "It will be a new stickered version, like the R version came after zma." Hearing this, i was like

He said he will inform me ASAP the bike arrives in the showroom.
Went to another showroom, who has no idea about new zma! they has the R in stock, with ready delivery.
I guess its a wait and watch game! Will keep you guys updated, if i get any call from the dealer tomorrow!
Happy Riding,
Himanshu

^^ or they can junk the existing ZMA engine and bore out the Unicorn engine to its maximum to get the latest ZMA. Like Bajaj did with Pulsar and TVS is doing with the Apache engine.
Anyway its generally considered that the CBZ, ambition and ZMA were carved out of the same block, they can do it now as well !!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!

^ A better idea would be using Honda Twister 250's engine, rather than developing it all again. We all know how Hero Honda is at developing new engines, don't we?
Boring into existing machines has it's own disadvantages like Heating up quickly, etc. But, maybe Joel may comment here ... He rebored a 150cc Fiero to 200cc...

Dude, a one off reboring job as done by Joel is different. There the only parameter thats being changed is the engine bore. Companies bore out engine blocks to increase performace or create new models all the time right from new Hayabusa to RTR 180 (wich I assume is the same Apache block, my apologies if its actually a new engine !!).Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post^ A better idea would be using Honda Twister 250's engine, rather than developing it all again. Wen companies increase the engine capacity its generally for a new line of motorcycle and they spend lot of time, effort and money to go the whole hog. Increasing the cooling, lubrication all that, with new clutch, other assorted technilogies, the works !!
And its about time HH had a RnD dept to speak off !!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!

A correction though @sukant08, RTR series are not bored out engines,They are all new oversquare mills and had been newly developed from the block.
As for Busa,it is a very complicated engine and ceratinly not a bored out mill of a GSXR1000.Hell's Angel

I think he meant the 2008 Hayabusa which had basically the same block as the as older Hayabusa. It had a slight bore job from the old Hayabusa. Not the GSXR 1000 engine.Originally posted by MACH50 View Post

Ok,certainly............but busa09 has other features empowering it apart from just boring borejobs........!!!!!!!Originally posted by pranay View PostI think he meant the 2008 Hayabusa which had basically the same block as the as older Hayabusa. What I had meant here with the RTR example was that there exists different products basically made out of a same block of engine.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostA correction though @sukant08, RTR series are not bored out engines,They are all new oversquare mills and had been newly developed from the block.

And ya, regarding the Busa, the 08 Busa has been bored out to 1340cc. Thats what I meant.
I know that, my objective was just to prove that Hero Honda can create a new product by boring out the Unicorn engine to the max. I never meant Hayabusa is only about displacement. But you'll have to agree that displacement is the easiest way to increase power.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostOk,certainly............but busa09 has other features empowering it apart from just boring borejobs........!!!!!!!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
