today i went to the probiking centre again. The official there said that initially the bikes were supposed to be launched during december this year. But it has been preponed to june-july(confirmation yet to come).
The first 200 units would be FI as well although that would be 2008 models.(i wonder how that is possible)
And i think that this would end the speculations in this thread guys about the baby ninja which is priced at........ 2 LAKHS (yes you read it right), when i asked him whether it would go up to 2.50 he said not beyond 2.10 . I thought that guy was joking but when i asked it again he said the price was confirmed on the letter from BAJAJ.
Will the fight for the most awaited 250 begin now???
Is this real news!!! I have been waiting for ninja since 1 and half year..
With this price I will be among the firsts to book one!!!

          • @Turbo: Please find out whether 2.1 is ex-showroom or on-road price too!
Edit: All the reviews say Ninja 250 has a top speed of 177kmph&gives a fuel efficiency of 20-25 kmpl.
I am interested in this bike, as it makes a good choice for touring, at 120-130 I'm using more than 90%of my R15's potential, which will eventually show its effects on the engine (I can already make out by seeing the mileage she returned under full ripping). If the Ninja can go upto 177, there shouldn't be any problem in taking it upto 120-130, which should be more than sufficient for our Indian roads.

                    • Sorry to brust the lovely bubble, but it the information is provided by any of the probiking showroom guys than its as good as any other rumor. I am saying so because as a probiking guy i know how much & what kind of information reach us. Saravjit: thats why no reply to your PM.

And AFAIK one of the highly modified Ninja 250 R managed to do 179 KMPH which is a kind of record, so i highly doubt that stock baby kwacker will be able to anything more than 165 kmph true.

Now that Bajaj has confirmed that they are launching, we need to wait&watch how things evolve. Speculations will keep doing the rounds till its on the road!
AFAIK, Bajaj has only stated that they will be launching in May-June as a CBU, priced above 2 lakhs.

Yeah, I hope he does that a few days in advance, so that I can be one of the first ones to get it, just like the R15!
