    One shocking info,

Last week while having a small pep talk with a guy at the Chennai bypass Toll booth,

He informed as per NHAI rules motor cycles are not allowed in the newly built access controlled expressways. Also if any accident happens with a motor cycle the NHAI authority will not file a case it seems.

I tried to locate any document in the NHAI website and not able to find one.

Is this true? Coz I use such an expressway everyday to office.

And FYI Access controlled highways are very few in India, like Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Chennai Bypass Expressway etc

Well speed limits in India i think it's just copied form UK but they forget there they talk in miles and we are talking in KM...

Some places i saw speed limits boards which saying 10 KM even that mark is not visible in speed meter...

Well keeping a controllable speed is best option coz i working in NHAI Project and i know what standardization they use for marking speed limits... So when you are in crowded place keep something near 30 to 50 and when in highways keep it 50 to 80 or more if you have control and belief in your brakes...

It's remains me one dialog i hard in Discovery channel show name i forgot the anchor says " If you want to drive any vehicle in India you need three things, good brake, good horn, and good luck..."
No road is enough... No destination I search...

I heard there is some similar road around Bangalore also. Very few roads in India are such. Not fair though!

Ya dear it's like that only, here in Gujarat they don't allow bikes in Ahmeadabad baroda express way same as in pune.... I asked here and at pune also and they say it's express way speed limits is above 100 Km... " very few Bus and truck achieve that speed after lot of effort" and bikes are slow and un safe that y not allowed...

I think they still not aware of the power of bikes... lol...

But in pune i saw that they allow SBK to pass from Express way... may be not able to stop or catch them... " In there slow machines called 4 wheelers..."

Once you get the CBR you can ride in it too! Seems like these roads are those premium parties that happen in town

in the morning when i go to office i maintain 40-60 kmph range...i think 60 kmph mark is fine and you can control the bike if situations go wrong...

in "theory" two wheelers aren't allowed.

                      but yea...
it's virtually impossible for anyone to stop you if you're above 160-170(kmph).

same thing applies for the Bandra-Worli sea-link too.

it's fun. one of the only stretches in old bombay that you can take
consolation in the fact that nothing'll run across the road and catch you unaware.

                      .

yup. but it's pretty easy to get past.
the sea-link has a quite a few unused/unmanned booths too.
