You're as safe as the weakest link on the road.

Supercars come with ceramic brakes that guarantee a 200 kmph to zero in 4 seconds. Impressive, isn't it? But what about the distance covered in those 4 seconds?
Let's make this a mathematical case, where for simplicity the supercar decelerates by 50 kmph per second.

Second 0 - brakes applied at 200 kmph or ~56 meters per sec (mps)
    Second 1 - car is at 150 kmph ~ 42 mps
    Second 2 - car is at 100 kmph ~ 28 mps
    Second 3 - car is at 50 kmph ~ 14 mps
Second 4 - car stops (though it would have traveled some distance between 50 to 0, but let us discount it for simplicity).

Total distance traveled is roughly 140 meters. You saw a child/jaywalker/dog/cow/pothole/unruly driver or rider etc at 200 kmph just ahead of you and you braked HARD with awesome reflexes (without any time loss) - you still stop after almost 150 meters! The intruder by now would be mowed to death. I'm sure Chevy Cruze doesn't have half good the brakes as a supercar.

Also, most superbikes have better brakes than most common cars on sale in India. Why do they crash then?
Because, it is "always" the user of the machine and not the machine itself.

Lastly, this is INDIAAAAAA because of road users like you. We don't support such behavior.

You have been served an infraction. Next time - permanent ban!
Am not a speed freak. Just tried it once.

Now bike I keep below 120 & car below 140 even if road is open highway.

Good to know that. Always keep in mind that there are other road users too and we should enjoy our journey in the safest possible way.
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Sure thing bro. I know to drive. My brakes are fine. But I couldn't expect it from others.

There are some asshole bikers with fz(am not stereotypical here)who cuts, wiggles in road for no reason blowing fancy awful dog horns. I even changed one guy from that idiotic driving to an good driver.

Hell, even I have an scrap bike which I use for local commuting which has 2 brake modes. Sudden brake that turns attention of everyone in road by skidding or nothing. [emoji23][emoji23]

I think its 40/60 kmph for city, 80kmph for state highways and 100kmph for national highways.
