Re: TVS Showroom 1st and last visit

Well fortunately all my TD were pleasant experience. When I first selected my 1st generation Pulsar 150. It was from Khivaraj Mount road. I would say they are the nicest people. I already made up my mind to go for the Silver one. I expressed my desire to get the silver P150. Even though the bikes meant for TD were all black. He somehow provided me a silver P150 for the TD. I was spellbound. After the TD I immediately book the P150 and I was a happy man.

Second incident when I went to buy the Activa for my wife. The same incident happen the sales person was more than happy to offer a TD to my wife. It was JSP Motors Perambur

Third Incident with Ambal Motors for My Yamaha FZS. it was the sweetest. They gave me TD for FZS, R15 and Fazer.

But I was never attracted by TVS (Sorry Guys) hence never tried a TD with them.

    Cheers

Re: TVS Showroom 1st and last visit

During last winter, a friend needed to buy a scooty and we went to TVS, Hero Honda and Yamaha showrooms.
Actually TVS and Yamaha guys were really helpful and agreed to give small TD to her even though we told them she doesn't know how ride. Hero was little reluctant and Honda guys were behaving like $h!t.
Maybe TVS wanted to sell their newly released Jupiter back then and hence were really helpful. But my experience is pleasant..

      Ride safe and have fun.

It isn't with all the showrooms.. I have seen shit from Hero too in Chennai.. Pro Biking never said no for a test ride till now.. on the other hand.. Hero in Delhi NCR have been very kind enough to let me have a TD of the New ZMR which just arrived to the Showroom to be showcased... They accepted the very next second I asked for Test Ride.. Maybe because I always got my bike serviced from there they didn't mind letting me ride it..

This is simply not acceptable for a company's point of view where they are bound to maintain customer delight right from the Pre-sales stage to Closure of the sales. Irony is that this has happened in north india, where TVS doesnt have a strong foothold in terms of sales.
if this is the case. pre-sales then imagine what would happen post-sales

I have done that via their contact form and via their facebook pages and I have got a reply from them that "necessary action would be taken."

Re: TVS Showroom 1st and last visit

The latest news on this is that yesterday I had got reply from TVS Motor Company from Facebook where I had put forth the feedback on their Page. They said that they were thankful that i took out time and reported the matter to them and said that necessary action would be taken.

Today, I got a call from the "Executive" at TVS dealership who dealt with me on that day. He asked me, "Sir, you have written "oopar office mein", may I know why?" I explained a bit and repeated what had happened and he said, "Maine apko pehle hi bol diya tha ki ye model available nahi hai." I said excuse me! this was the last thing you told me, not the first. He tried to turn 360 degrees on many things which happened that day. I said, Look I am not talking to you to prove anything, now if you keep on saying anything (that is lies) then I cannot convince you coz I can't prove that this this thing happened. he said, "Yes sir, neither can you prove, nor me."
Then he said sometimes a customer has to wait (as I did) because we are dealing with other customers, already in store. I said. but there was no other customer beside me that day and you 2 were dealing with me alone.

I said, I have given feedback so that customers should not suffer and TVS should maintain a reputation. He said, Ok sir theek hai.
The conversation lasted some 4-5 minutes.

After some 30 minutes I got a call from their regional manager and he was way better at talking than that "Executive". He listened to me and said that he has also read my e-mail which was forwarded to him by higher officials at TVS. He was really apologetic and admitted that I was not treated properly.

Then he insisted on giving TVS a chance to improve on what they have done and offered me a TD of Apache RTR 180 ABS at my home. I said, that's not an issue as I can go to the dealership (not the same one) myself if I want a TD and I don't want to bother someone who would bring a bike all the way. But, he insisted and said someone would call me and would bring the bike to my doorstep and give me a TD and would explain whatever I wanted to know about the bike. He said, "Please, take the test ride, even if you plan to buy a bike from some other company."

I agreed and now tomorrow there would be a TD (hopefully with much better experience now)

Re: TVS Showroom 1st and last visit

So, friends manager from the other showroom/dealership of Sangam TVS Mr. Baljinder Singh came home with an assistant for providing me a TD. He was very polite and he had also brought with him a pack of chocolates. He said, "Sir please forgive us for the bad experience that you have had with us."
I was happy with the TD and he also explained to me about the ABS technology and how it works, in brief. He is from the servicing background (as told by him) so he seems to know about his job. As of now, it has ended on a happy note.
I liked its power, ABS and handling. I was going for the Yamaha FZ-S FI for its smoother ride and looks. I may be wrong in putting forth this query in here but could you friends please suggest that on reliability basis, in years to come is Apache 180 ABS a better choice over Yamaha FZ-S FI? Mileage of FZ-S FI (being a 150cc bike) would also be a bit better than Apache 180.

Re: TVS Showroom 1st and last visit

Well, about 5 months ago (march 2014), I was ready to buy my first bike with my own money. I was saving my salary for many months to get myself a R15. So i went to the showroom with my dad on 9 march 2014. I asked the receptionist about the R15, she called the assistant manager to give me info about the bike. I was a fan of R15 and knew every detail of the bike, so I just asked him that I wanted the bike in blue, which was replaced a year back with white and blue(moto gp edition). He very politely asked me just to
look at the colors available with them. I refused, and said I will buy a blue one or not buy at all. So he called the manager and told him about the matter.

The manager said -"So build him a blue colored one. whats the problem."

Manager told me that if I book the bike today he will open up all the panels of a new bike and fit in blue colored panels in place. He checked the inventory and said -"we have have most of the body kit with us (headlight assembly, fuel tank, front fairing etc). If any part is not available, we will order it and build you a blue bike. He asked for 5000 Rupees booking amount and 10 days time. My dad agreed. We paid the sum and went home happily.

2 days later I got a call from the manager - "Sir your bike parts have arrived and we are starting to build your bike, you can come and check". I was at office so I asked my dad to go check it out. Dad went to the showroom, the manager asked him to choose the R15 he want to buy, dad choose one of the lot and the mechanic stared stripping it. Dad went back to his office and came back to check in the evening, the bike was almost complete(only tail panel was left). But dad said its not looking good in blue.

Surprise again, manager said -"sir let it get completed, still if you dont like it, we will refund the booking amount.
                            "
So now I was tensed, dad said get a black one, its looks more decent. I was hell bent on blue. So next morning dad again went to the showroom, now my bike was complete. The manager told his men to line up all the colors in the middle of the showroom (All the standard colors and my blue one), and asked my dad to take his time, and choose any one, and if he still didnt like any of them he will return the booking amount. Finally dad chose the blue one and called me and said - "Come to the showroom after office, we will take the blue one." So I happily got the blue colored R15.

Talk about customer satisfaction. The Yamaha guys build me a special edition bike of my choice in 2 days. Hats Off.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Similar incident happened to me 3years ago. I had asked for a price quotation of RTR 180 abs variant, sales guy said no such version exists :-/. Walked out of the showroom and bought fzs next day.
