For that I think a wait for the next batches of RTR (200, 220 or whatever it may be) would be appropriate!Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Post

You know why? i'll tell you why.Originally posted by sukant08Insanely OT : I think the Mods hv given up on this thread !! Not one of them have shown up handing infractions and warnings !!
BTW , if the itch is really gettin on to pple to prove themsleves, y dont we organise a boxing match among bike fans and decide it !!

1) This thread is standing proof that indian bikers (Or atleast quite a few of them) are not yet ready to understand that different bikes belong in different segments even though they may be close to each other in therms of cubic capacity.
2) Because we're not here at anyone's beck and call and have other duties to perform. It's quite easy to post nonsense and then sit back saying "Hey, if my post doesn't conform, let a mod clean it up"! Newsflash: That's not what moderation is about. We're here to make sure YOU guys let your thoughts flow IN MODERATION and don't be surprised if infractions and bans are handed out without prior warning. Enough warnings have already been given and everyone here's of atleast average intelligence.
Short version: Clean up your act. NOW.

I will take the higher road and not reply to OT posts anymore.
One of the youtube links mentioned the bike makes 16.5 Nm Torque. Is that true? I didnt see it mentioned anywhere in the ad..

bore of rtr 160
62 mm
stroke of apache 150
57.8mm
rtr 180= 175 cc
62mm*57.8
Still an overqsuare engine , less oversquare than the 160.
It can still rev till 12k safely if needed ,
but since it is a longer stroke , 10k is good enough
it ll be torquier than the 160 .
Its gonna have better 0-60 figures than the r15 for sure..
After 60.. we ll check it out..
17.3 ps and 176c with 135 + kgs is a good power to weight ratio and has good advantage of the p200 which is way heavier.
Let the bike arrive.

^^Digi, Mach : You guys better clean up your act right now. This thread has already witnessed an infraction, lotsa clean-ups. Synn, rossi and Aryan da would be pretty much fed up of warnings by now.
Id recommend arguing over better 0-60 figures, Higher PS ratings at crank etc over PMs or in person.
Please delete the respective posts and get on with it guys !
Cheers !

...and you're forgetting engine precision, alpha N FI,Deltabox frame(it's a spare btw, can be raplaced anytime),Nissin braking system,a closer gearbox with a 6th cog,DiaSil sleeveless cylinder that's 4 valved, an engine that doesnt require breaks during touring..and I can go on! Do I need to list out more for what 30k can buy us?Originally posted by Hyperion View Post....and costs a bomb

Well if the RTR 180 manages to beat the R15, dont you think it is great since the RTR180 will definitely cost around 35K less than the 17PS 150 cc machine.Originally posted by digislayer View PostI don't know the bore x stroke measures of this cylinder, so can't comment if it's a long stroke or short stroke. But what you need to know is, the ratio of declaring an engine's short strokedness/long strokedness is same throughout. It never changes with CC, the ratio standards are same.. be it a 160cc or 180cc.
A 180cc mill that makes 17.3ps humiliating a 150cc mill that makes 17ps??

Wow!

PS :- If you see the ad carefully, the RTR180 overtakes a R15 on the curve
. Lets wait for the actual rider reports not the souped up magazine reports
.

Exactly the bore is the same, just the stroke has been increased and according to Joel the stroke is the same as the old Apache 150.Originally posted by MavericK46 View PostThe 180's stroke is longer than the 160. IIRC, Joel said that the bore is the same. Hence if the displacement has been upped, the stroke length has increased.

A 180cc mill that makes 17.3ps humiliating a 150cc mill that makes 17ps??Last of all 17.3 PS is great from a 180cc,my p180 gives 16.5 PS.RTR180 wud handle superbly that my p180 cannot.RTR180 is a generation ahead of p180 and this 180cc bike reserves the potential to humiliate p200,p220 and R15 when it comes to performance.Looks are dated, subtle changes but radical is expected in the final product.

Wow!

RTR= (race)Ravv Throttle Responce
I liked the matt white color, after RX-z i have seen white on a non-cop bike
but really disappointed with the same frame,
would be great if they provided a semi-fairing like ZMA or P-220,
or a wild idea.........made it naked like FZ
