    • In keeping with its intention to bring racing technology to the common man, the company will further strengthen its premium segment with a new higher capacity motorcycle, which is expected to be launched during this month. The sporty design, outstanding ride dynamics and homegrown technology promises to make it a preferred choice for high performance seekers. The motorcycle will be packed with high tech features including digital speedo, trip meter and many other functions.
so we can expect it this month , cool.

          • Pricing

It looks like we have to wait till the economic recession is over for a completely fresh/different looking model (BAL too seems to be following the same philosophy with its 2009 P150/180 UGIV).

Regarding the pricing of the RTR 180, I think pricing it below (and not above) the FZ16 would make it an attractive option.

            • I hope the RTR 180 comes with DC electricals, it would be a huge disappointment if it doesnt.

Also a set of Tubeless Tyres would do just fine (or does the RTR 180 already has it..??).

                  • The Pricing for the RTR 180 would now be interesting.

By pegging it less than the FZ would mean, pricing it lower than the RTR 160 Fi which would make it difficult for the RTR 160 Fi to remain attractive.

If not, then the 2009 P180 UGIV would get a pricing advantage (as it is already selling for about Rs. 4,000 lower than the FZ16).

The price of FI is almost equal to the fz , so i think rtr 180 will be more than tht.

                          On Road Prices:

The RTR FI (Rs 76,600 on-road MumbaI) is actually just Rs 1687 more than the FZ (Rs 74,913 on-road Mumbai).
                          Source: Overdrive

P180 UGIII On Road price in Mumbai was around Rs. 67,000. Source: BAL Website.

With the P180 UGIV costing about Rs. 3,000 more than the UGIII, the new price of the P180 UGIV becomes around Rs. 70,000 (Which is still a good Rs. 4,000-5,000 lesser than the FZ16 and RTR 160 Fi)

                          • I appreciate Bajaj, they always give more than what the competition provides, now it is upto TVS to match Bajaj for the goodies. As for performance, I know which one's gonna be better no doubts on that .

                              • The rtr180 will be priced around the rtr 160fi mark. also the 180 is undergoing some serious tests in and around hosur and Mysore. very high chances of spotting one as most of the test mules are in white colour. Performance is the single most priority for the guys behind teh RTR 180. and thats good for us right?
