and i hate the main-stand kissing the road while cornering...
regarding the display, i would be really happy if they do something like this:

and for people who don't understand USD Front Shock-Abs, the one in the above picture are the one. also called Inverted Shock-Abs...

what all did you ask for? Provision for phone charger, laptop charger, etc. , are you aware that many city riders get those installed?
then don't you think this should be an addition to the normal series only?
so that everybody can enjoy the fruits of the tree?
a provision for chargers will require what, less than hundred bucks of investment by the company? It's just the provision that we need. Accessories one wants are at the discretion of the owner right?

i mean even i need an hid.

that's why i suggested charger provision and upgraded lights if given, should be given to all the 220s.
should be a general upgrade.
a saddle should be an accessory available for people interested in touring which can be instatted in minutes to any stock 220 before a tour and uninstalled back when your back home and on your way to office. 
what do you think now?

if you ask me i would say,
1.change the name,delete the PULSAR from the 220
2.bit better plastics (better faring mounting and vibe reduction )
3.a DOHC head with the better valve control design (no rocker arms)
4.reline at 14k rpm and change of the instument panel design;time and race timer are a must (if that's too much,atleast the change of the back light to white or something)
5.better styling.The front is fine but apart from that every thing is too much like any other pulsar.
6.Better chassis or atlest better engine mounting solutions (no bushes)
7.petals disk at the front.
8.Atleast 24ps and 21+nm torque,with price still below a lakh

- Footrest on Saree guard: I cannot drop off my mom anywhere using my bike. If Bajaj only engineered it for the cool younger gen with GF's wearing jeans/pants and thought they didn't need a footrest they probably forgot about the girls wearing skirts.
- Taller 5th and 6th gears for cruising
Replace/Re-engineer
- Engine: Actually design a 220/250 cc mill instead of upboreing a 150/180 cc mill and than adding useless cost adding crap like an oil cooler.
- Gearbox: Design it so that it performs the same regardless of whether its hot or cold. Use high quality materials so that tolerances don't change and cause harder gear changes as it gets hotter irrespective of oil. i.e. Use materials that cost more than 50ps/kg and hire a metallurgist.
- RVM's: I do not like to chicken dance nor do I like to give business to Yamaha (I bought and installed the R15 mirrors, damnit)
- Front end for better low speed handling, I've had more results after buying my 220 than I ever had after 2.5 yrs at the gym on my Biceps and Triceps. Spend more money on designing steering cones.
- Refine NVH: Re-engineer Bearings, Joints, Dampers: The NVH levels are beyond reasonable; my 21 year old Kinetic Honda Dx which is on its last legs still rides, accelerates smoother and has less NVH than my 2 year old Pulsar. The 220 shakes, twitches and vibrates like a pornstar faking an orgasm at anything above 4500 Rpm.
- Ergonomics:
- Riding Stance: Do not use the 95% human to design the seats/handles etc. like they teach you in design school. The 95% human is supposed to be ~6ft tall. The avg Indian male height is 5ft 5 in. With my 5'8" frame only my toes reach the ground from a seated position and the handles are set so forward/low that I have to lean in and put pressure on my palms/wrists. Form over function i.e. how good a rider looks riding a bike is not more important the the pleasure the rider gets out of riding; paining wrists/palms are not pleasure unless one is a masochist.
Spend 50ps more than your intended budget; hire an ergonomics engineer, do not let an Industrial Design guy do your ergonomics. - Add the option of the old style heel shifter. The toe shifter ruins my nice Oxfords while on the way to meetings.
- Pillion stance/position: its just outright silly right now

well, what people fit is a temporary jugaad (modification), which can sometimes ruin your costly laptop or camera or mobile. a company made one will be more reliable. and you don't charge laptop/cameras while going from home to office or in a short trip of ~500 kms or so

and plz read my post clearly, i want many other things that consume much more power than a laptop charger,
- i want provision of heated vests and glove for both rider and pillion, this will consume approx. 50-100 watts (and this is not required within city, its required for touring in chilly mountains and heavy rains for extended duration)
- provision of 2 additional fog lights ( will consume about 110 watts)
this will increase the overall cost of bike, so might affect sales, thats why, i asked for a seperate touring bike.
actually i have other things also in mind for a touring bike, like rubber damped handlebars. adjustable damping in front inverted shock absorbers. there should be a clock on the digi console. bigger windshield etc etc....
and yes these are apart from other usual things listed by other members like a bigger 250 CC engine. smother , more powerful, more torque etc etc.....
so chill man, it BAL provides all these touring things on standard bike, it will change the character of the bike. so i asked for a seperate touring bike, best suited for touring......

Better equiped svc engineers.:- I agree to these points you mentioned above. I have bought a new P-220-F a month and 13 days ago, My gears and engine loose smoothness again and again and I do visit the svc every sunday for small problems

A little weight reduction: will be really useful. Its helpful mainly while moving the bike like in parking lots etc.
Good Knee Recesses.
Main stand touches the ground on steep turns or high speed breakers. Make it a little above.
Seen some Full Faired P-220 on a foreign website, liked it a lot
. Should be introduced in Indian market also.
I rode almost 3 hrs continuously with 2 small 5 mins break and it rode wonderfully. So no doubt on its capabilities, but small issues afterwards took all the fun out of the nice experience I had.

Those look like demands fit for a Prince.
Is this thread for P220 OR Avenger 220? Street bike or touring cruiser
Jokes apart, such features are mostly available on touring bike taxis in Europe.
