Sir, that image in which the level appears to be higher is the image which was taken today, after 95kms. I don't have a paddock here at hometown so the bike might not be held in the same position.

Good to hear that you problem seems to be fixed...water in air filter will not go through the injectors, so using a good quality petrol will suffice to keep the Fi in good condition. If you want you can use System G . I happened to notice that the coolant level in one picture is marginally more than the other and so keep an eye on it if the lower level is the 95 kms level after top up.....
Change the engine oil after the 100 Kms completion or after another 50 Kms as you had decided...but not later than that.

Hi all,
The bike has run almost 95 kms after the coolant flush and oil change. The oil, which was already dark has turned darker and the condensation on the oil window is vanishing. It is almost nil now. The coolant level in the reservoir is intact till now. However the bike is rough, gearshifts are clunky. I think this is because of the used oil. Today when i was cruising at 60kmph, i had to slow down so i pulled the clutch, slowed down, shifted down from 4th to 2nd and when i let off the clutch slowly and accelarated, there was a small "dub" sound from the engine and the engine carried on with the acceleration after this. This was like a misfire. The svc guys had said there was water in the air filter which ofcourse, passes through the fi system. So i was thinking now would be the time to use IFTEX SYSTEM G, as it would clean the injectors etc. off any unwanted components. What do you guys say about this? Should i go ahead with the system g? Would it be of any use?
I am planning to change the oil and oil filter after another 50kms.

I feel the Earth wire mod can wait. If you still want to do it, get the SVC to do it for you...You can make the wire with end connections and request the SVC to do the fixing since many had said that it gives better ,and reliable performance...Anything you do will void warranty, while if the SVC does the same you are safe ....At least till the warranty expires stick to SVC and go with the usual Terms and conditions of HMSI....I do not feel that your bike will develop loose contact within this time.

Sir i have one more query. I am planning to do the earth wire mod. Would it void my warranty? If yes can i just remove the wire whenever i am taking it to svc?

In my humble opinion Michelins are better because they have good grip yet the tires last longer. I don't see the point of installing super grippy tires which are expensive having a life of 10k kms or lesser unless you are going for track days. Since, you have shown interest in long distance touring Michelins will serve you well. do keep a lookout for Made in thailand ones as the rubber on them is better. Regarding "Khat" noise from the front i have a suspicion either the front fork oil needs to be replaced or else the coneset lock nut needs an inspection or tightening. Anyways, all the best..

I will keep you posted on the life of the engine oil along with the pics.. I must say though I am enjoying the bike more now. By the way, I do hear some khatak noise under hard braking from the front. Not sure what it is. Any suggestions. By the way the next I am planning to change the tyres from ContiGo to Michelin Pilot Street for both front and back. Is my decision correct. Or should I go for Pirelli Speed Dragon.

Glad you are enjoying it.. Do report your observations post 500 kms and if possible do provide a pic of the condition of the engine oil visible through the inspection window. But please bear in mind that this is just an experiment for me. If you do get results whether good or bad do share so that collectively we all get to learn something new.

Okay guys update on the mods that I carried out.

I am seeing following improvements in my bike after the mods

1. Startup clatter has reduced completely
2. Bike is more ready to accelerate now and I can see eagerness in climbing RPMs. Easily did 120 KMPH today.
3. Knocking has reduced considerably
4. Gear changes have become very slick and I feel like its become feather touch at the moment.
5. Did a 40 KMs ride today and the bike did not feel that hot.
6. Reduction in engine noise when running at 80KMPH. At one point I started thinking that engine has stalled as could not hear the engine at all.

Steam condensation is an indication of moisture in oil area. Since there was some water inside engine , complete scavenging can be done only after another oil change and running for at least 100 Kms. I hope further water leak into the crank case does not take place if what they said about it coming from Air Filter is true...To keep the Warranty in force you need to use only OE parts, and your reservation on using the FZ filter is correct...I was suggesting it as an alternative, and the SVC must be made to use it, and not you directly...
As of now nothing to worry , and you can continue to use the bike and watch what happens...During December 2015 flooding both my Car and ZMA were under 9 feet of water for 2+ days...still after draining oil + water from Engine and using fresh oil at first 100 Kms and again new oil after that, I am relieved both my car and ZMA engine are as good as new....I had 1 liter water+ 1 lit oil in ZMA, and 4 lit water and 3 lit oil in my car ...for almost 10 days...only thing is I didn't not start or run the engine during this time.

Yes sir but i'll make sure to change both the engine oil and oil filter after a week. I don't know on what basis they are doing this.. they didn't charge me for this oil. However i have recorded everything.. they even have the job card for this. So whatever happens it won't be my responsibility. Do you recommend changing the oil filter with that of fz one now? I'm worried about the warranty sir that's why i am backing off.
There was some amount of condensation on the oil window yesterday when i got the bike. when i opened the oil cap after riding there was also some steam coming off from there so i think its burning off. So after riding today i have observed it is reducing. I am attaching pictures of the same. Should i be worried??

How can a used oil be again filled into your engine ? I thought Honda and it's SVC had ethics on how it handles customer's vehicles....Your post totally destroys my belief. The first service oil will contain free metal particles suspended in the oil which is detrimental to engine...further the Oil Filter had not been changed ,which should have been done...if oil filters are not available, you can use the Yamaha FZ oil filter as a stop gap arrangement , and insist on OE filter once it is made available...
Some how I am disillusioned with Honda after learning from your post on the many things they shouldn't have done on their own engine...Keep everything including the used oil usage in your engine, on record..

The engine oil has been replaced with the used oil(from first service) from some other vehicle. This is to check for any further leaks. After two weeks, i will tell them to check the oil and then will fill fresh oil and also will be replacing the oil filter. I am sure they haven't changed the filter as of now. The problem is the svc here doesn't stock parts of 250r. Or else i would have bought and changed it myself. What options do i have now?? Shall i run the bike as is and check?

PSR - I have already done the mod with the cable that I had shown earlier. Its a battery cable from a car. This was a ready made option available and hence used it. Its higher than 10MM gauge and the person told me that this is the best you can get. Since this is from battery cable set itself I was more than happy to try it out.
