As as far as i have read cops cant stop any rider unless you break any traffic rule....
The first mistake you made was speeding away... its like inviting a mad bull to hit you...
Secondly as it is always pointed always carry your documents and even if things dont work out..... Park your bike.. take the key.. tell him to come to the nearest police station with the challan book... in the police station ask him to furnish the proof... always keep the option of lawyer and RTI as a last resort....
This has worked pretty good for me....

i live in lullanagar and i attend sinhgad college, and on my way i take a detour from nibm. so all together theres 4 spots where these cops stand
    1. Lullanagar junction
    2.Bakers point NIBM road
    3.opposite konark pooram society
    4. Near the nala ahead of ashoka mews

i get stopped at these place almost everytime i pass by them. its very annoying although now the frequency of their checkposts is less but its still very annoying to be stopped by the same cops all the time for no bloody reason!

Since they are not supposed to stop us unless we break the law, I argued with him that 60 was accepted and anything above that is illegal, the cop asked for my licence and other documents. Since i had only my licence and not my insurance or RC, he immediately showed off his blackberry and told me if I dont cough up Rs 500 on the sopt, he would book me for much more. Since i didnt even hav Rs 200, I tried to argue with him that I hadn't broken any law for him to stop me. But he snatched my keys and loaded my bike onto the tow truck and printed out a receipt for Rs. 800!! Thats 300 for overspeeding 300 for insurance and 200 for RC. I saw an ATM nearby and withdrew the cash and paid up luckily because if they had towed the bike, they would've charged Rs. 250 more for that!
Moral of the story: You are always wrong and the school that educated you is at blame for making you believe that this is a fair world!
post this on the Bangalore Traffic Police facebook page. They do take action i believe

Wanted to post here. Be very careful on ORR after 4:30 PM. Cops favourite spots:-

    1. After Coffee Day in Marathalli, while going towards KR Puram.
    2.Opposite to EMC2.
    3.Banaswadi ORR
Was aware of the cops on the main road and also here but didn't expect this ... The cops apparently shifted here after the recent resident complaints because of a nearby bar there .... And thanks for the other places as well .... Good to know info especially since I love riding around in the morning. Since we won't find any crazy teen racers or traffic and if lucky may actually find our xBHPian brothers
