Exactly bro...Atleast here in kerala,people are so ignorant about helmets.They even protest against the government when they make helmets compulsory for riders

ohh brother very sad to hear that ..the whole front is smashed ....you hit car or somewhere else ...where did the bikes front went n hit ...its look the ..whole front have to be replaced ...and god grace you survived and yes the helmet " good one " huh ! take care ...get well soon ...my prayers not to be in any more accidents like this .....

and looking at those FZ-16 pics all i can say is that the build quality is awesome except for the rims i guess which are made to be a bit ductile to absorb impact......anyways if it was a karizma it would have shattered to a million pieces as my bro's zma hit a pedestrian who was jumping over a divider at around 60kph and still the front got damaged so much so as the repair costs came close to 13000 bucks........so conclusions.....always wear a helmet and always ride a YAMAHA.....get well soon!!

Thanks guys but im k now.This accident was in july.It was bout 8 in the evening & i was returning home from work.I was riding in the extreme left lane(This is a 4 laned rd)at bout 60 as i knew the rd pretty well & its a smooth 1 with no potholes etc.There was this bus overtaking me in the 2nd lane & when nearly half the bus had passed, the bus braked hard & here i c a lady around 40 diving in front of the bus & landing right in front of me.I cant go right coz of the bus,cant go straight coz i would have killed her(even though sometimes i feel she deserved it),so i braked hard,dropped howmany gears i could & cut left.As it was raining my bike skidded & rammed in2 the metal railings on the edce of the road.Before i could get up,the ladys gone.About 1.5cms middle finger in my left hand was severed & my little finger was smashed i mean it was like paper,it would sway with the wind !!Another poor biker on a 220 saw me & stopped.Poor guy lifted my bike 2 the corner of the road & when i say lifted,i mean lifted coz my tyrs had no air coz the rim was broken & the hanlde wouldnt turn coz the frme holding fearing was stuck in the fork.Poor guy even helped me find my finger !!God bless that guy !!By this time i was feeling really gidy due 2 the bloodloss & theres not a single cab or rick 2 b seen & no 1 else is ready 2 help.2 cars actually stopped saw me ,made a really sad face,but decided 2 drive away instead of helping me.Luckily some IPS officer was passing who saw me & took me to the hosp.I actually took my finger to the hosp in my shirt pocket !!U guys should have seen my helmet,it was like some1 hit it with a rod or something.Anyways i underwent a few surgerys,had wires in boyh my fingers for 2 months,but the day these were out i was back on the bike.The damage on the bike was for Rs 31,500/- out of which 17,000/-was taken care by the insurance com. I was told 2 go for psysio therapy but i didnt.My clucth helped me do my psysio.My doc 2day is so pleased with my recovery that he brags bout importance of psysio 2 other patients with my example, but the truth is a secret among us guys
